I was wandering around Sephora last week and saw that one of their 100 point perks was a NARS lip pencil! Upon closer inspection, it was their new “Lip Gloss Pencil.” Never having tried lip pencils from NARS, I thought this would be a great 100 point perk! A full sized product (0.09 oz) costs $32CAD at Sephora, and the one I redeemed for had 0.08 oz of product! What a great point perk, Sephora!

 

This colour is described as “gold infused strawberry pink.”

What it does:
This innovative lip pencil coats lips in stunning, glossy color with moisturizing ingredients vitamin E, hyaluronic spheres, and phytosterol esthers.

The pencil is very smooth and creamy and so easy to apply! At first I thought the gold shimmery would throw me off and make me look like I kissed some gold paint, but it settled in nicely. Because it’s so creamy, it can easily be dented, as I accidentally scraped it across the lid and the product had a crease. I thought it would be a twist up kind of pencil, but it needs to be sharpened. It’s quite a jumbo pencil, so one would need the sharpener with a bigger hole for this! I hope some of the product doesn’t get wasted easily.

 

It’s moisturizing, but it comes off easily due to its buttery texture. However, it still left a stain on my lips after eating and drinking. The pencil is indeed glossy, but there is no stickiness like a gloss!
