A while ago, I was digging out my mom’s beauty supplies and found a bottle of Essie’s “Feed Me”. I googled it and read that it’s supposed to be a hydrating treatment base coat for dry brittle nails. As a victim of flaky nails, I tried it for a while, and I figured out why my mom has shunned this little guy to a corner.

The polish is very liquid, almost like water. It dries fairly fast. When it dries- it’s a bit sticky and not glossy. So I would not wear this alone if I wanted to paint my nails clear. And after trying it for a couple weeks, it certainly didn’t do any brittle-nail prevention either. I am highly doubtful this polish did a good amount of feeding to my nails.
Essie has been known to be a great brand, but this item failed in my expectations. Now I am left to stare at my ugly, flaky nails and hope they grow longer fast enough so I can clip them off. I honestly don’t calculate when I cut my nails and how long it takes them to grow! Are there any good treatments out there to save my flaking nails?
