Hi everyone, sorry for such a delayed blog post! I’ve been in Hong Kong for the past three days and all I’ve been doing is impulse shopping! I was at Watsons, which is like a Shoppers Drug Mart/London Drugs of Canada, but they sell tons of beauty products (at a very cheap price, although American brands such as L’Oreal and Maybelline are a bit more expensive.) I saw these Hello Kitty pouches of masks and I couldn’t resist picking up a box (or two hehe) of these!
These masks are “Hello Kitty x Sexy Look” and I never heard of this brand, I was sucked into the packaging really.
Also picked up a carton of macaron lip balms at Sasa (which is sort of like the an Asian Sephora)!
Two masks types are inside- Q10 rose hip and the other one is grapeseed I believe (my chinese translation is horrible!)
Aren’t these packages cute? I was a bit sad I had to rip them up.
These masks are sheet masks- which are sheets of cotton (with holes cut out for the eyes/nose/mouth of the face) and the cotton sheet is soaked into serum and you put it on your face for 10-20 minutes and take it off! See an example of how it looks at Musings of a Muse.
When I first came to Hong Kong, my skin did not adapt very well to the climate here and it felt really weathered down, until I used the grapeseed mask (first). It didn’t have that cold feeling I usually enjoy from sticking a mask on my face, but my skin felt way more moisturized and less oily. It didn’t have a strong pungent smell either! The rose mask smelled really good (really loving the smell of rose-related goods) and I felt more energized from it!
The Hello Kitty x Sexy Look mask is only a small portion of the masks I hauled in Hong Kong- this is a pile between my friend and I from shopping, plus I had already bought two other boxes of My Beauty Diary Masks. More reviews to follow soon!
