Ah, it was a sunny day, with good lighting that my iPhone camera can handle- my hair was soft and I took out my sample sized version of Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color blush in RD 103 Petal (which I got from a gift with purchase months ago), and I ended up hitting pan when using it. “NOOOOOOO”was my thought.
I did a quick google search and found out the full sized was priced at $38CAD. *sniff* Why is it so expensive? I’m going to try to find a less expensive peach coloured blush soon.
I got a pan of Petal in a small, black sample size case (2″ x 2” ) with 0.008 oz of product. I didn’t use it first at much, but I grew to love the colour. It’s a very soft peach with a bit of shimmer.

I never really used peach colours until I got a hold of the Luminizing Satin Face Color, and I know why peach is such a great colour. It looks natural and gives you a soft glow that doesn’t look clownish or overdone. It goes on sheer when I first swipe it with a brush onto my cheeks, but after dabbing it in the pan and keep putting it on my cheeks, a natural glow is easily buildable. At first I thought it would be too shimmery, but once the blush is set on the cheeks for a while, it looks glowy and not a disco ball.
I’m also wearing Revlon’s ColourBurst Lipstick in Peach, and I am absolutely loving the colour and formula of it! A review will come soon to do it justice! The blush feels just like satin, like the name ” Luminizing Satin Face Color” because when I touch it, it’s very very soft. And, it definitely adds luminosity as well. I think this blush has the perfect amount of peachiness to it, and also a bit of pink as well.

PS: Sorry if my pictures look a bit unprofessional!
PPS: I realized that when I have a picture showing 3/4 of my face, I resemble the troll meme.

All in all- this is an elegant blush that is totally suitable for my Asian skintone. This is my first time trying Shiseido makeup and I was quite impressed.
I really like the colour of this blush because the glow is just so subtle and not showy. After a while, it looks matte on my skin, but the luminous effect is still present. I have my eye this Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color for a future splurge now, or perhaps when the Bay has another gift with purchase, and I would consider it.
In the meantime…what’s your favourite peach blush- if there’s other good ones out there I would love to try it out- because I will be finished with this one very soon.
Hope you all are having/had a good weekend! 🙂
