In April, Hautelook had an Urban Decay sale, and one of my purchases included a pack of 5 Urban Decay 24/7 Shadow pencils. They are supposed to provide “waterproof, crease-free color that lasts.” Unlike most people, I am a complete havoc and inexperienced in eyeshadow blending because I have folded lids + small eyes, so if I try anything like eyeshadow it either smudges, disappears, or look like a mess.
Sephora sells one 24/7 Glide-on Shadow stick for $24, and you get 0.1 oz of product. I bought my pack of 5 on Hautelook for $9 total, and each stick had 0.088oz of product- that means each stick technically costs $21.12! That means I saved $96.60!
The five colors I got were: Sin, JuJu, Rehab, Clash, and Delinqunent. I’m just getting around the use of these sticks, but they have been easier to manage compared to, let’s say, the Naked Palette, which I own, but rarely use due to my lack of skills.

They really do glide on easily, and very pigmented. However, I found the purple (Delinquent) was a bit too glittery.

I just used my finger to try to swipe the eyeshadows swatched on my arm to see if they smudge, and they barely did! I wore Sin + rehab yesterday (with primer) for 8 hours, and apart from a decrease in glitter concentration, the colors stayed put on my eyelid fairly well. I’m fine with losing a bit of glitter, because too much sparkle might overwhelming with my glasses.
I believe this is a (fail) picture of my eye wearing a mix of JuJu and Rehab. Total blending fail, but let’s not forget its incredible staying power. I believe I had some “sin” on the edges but my camera probably didn’t capture it well.
What I like about the brown eyeshadow sticks, is that they can past for an eyeliner too. So if anyone asks me, hey is that eyeshadow, it looks so unblended, I could say, nope, it’s eyeliner!
To my surprise, I actually quite like the purple color- Delinquent. I always heard that purple brings out the eyes, so I decided to try it myself. I *think* my blending improved drastically. The purple has a lot of sparkles though, so it’s really easy to have sparkles everywhere.

I also added some sin in the inner corner of my eyes to brighten them. Delinquent and sin on my eyes– sounds like a rebel and killer combo. Anyway, please don’t judge my blending skills cause I know I have absolutely none :(- any tips on application of eyeshadow?
I’m very happy with my $9 eyeshadow stick purchase, and I’m pretty sure they’ll last me a while! With the cheap price, I can afford to practice them too and wipe them off if it looks ugly!
