So apart from blogging and working full time; I’m a huge geek/nerd. When I watched Frozen, I was all ” ELSA COSPLAY!” I guess majority of the world have seen Frozen and been obsessed with it. Last month for Fan Expo Vancouver, I cosplayed blue-dress-snow-queen Elsa. I took a bunch of shortcuts to make the dress, so here’s to a sort-of-tutorial for anyone who wants to be dress up as Elsa! PIXI’s PixiGlow Magic Tink Tint for lips!
When I was in the states last time, I stopped at Target to check their beauty section. Apart from the Sonia Kashuk Brush Cleaner I bought, I also picked up PIXI’s PixiGlow Magic Tink Tint ($16 USD). PIXI is a makeup company based in London, England, so that was a plus one for the my inner anglophile. I’ve only seen the makeup being posted for sale on an online shopping site, asos, but it was always too expensive. I was surprised to see Target to have a section and was checking it out.
However, despite being in Target, it was still quite pricey for their items. I ended up choosing something from the pixiglow collection, which is inspired from Disney’s Tinkerbell. I bought a “Magic Pink Tint” since – I wanted something from PIXI, the packaging was adorable, and I use lip products the most anyway.

What is the Magic Pink Tint? Stated on the website..

I don’t have a lip tint anyway, so why not? I hate it when sometimes you wear lipgloss/lipstick and some ends up on your teeth or your napkin. This lip tint will change your lip color by adjusting to its pH.
So, does it work? Yes!
When I first glided the lip balm/tint on, I definitely feel its moisturizing properties working. There is also a slight minty tingling, which I like (although some people don’t.) After a minute, I see a change in the lip color. One time, I had lipstick on, and I swiped the lip tint on, and my lips turned into a nice, berry pink color. I want to start trying to experiment different lip colors underneath the tint to see what else colors I can make.
The packaging is also very nice. It’s like a crayon and it reminds me of Tarte’s lipsurgence, but cheaper! Also, you do not need to sharpen it or anything, it’s retractable so you can twist the bottom like a lip balm to get more product out!

(Sorry for bad picture quality)

I really like how it brings a natural pink color to my lips, rather than constantly applying lipstick. It also acts as a great lip moisturizer!

I wish they had this brand in Canada! (Although it would be more expensive.) Despite a medium-high priced tag, I like carrying this lip balm with me around when I need a touch of color and moisture for my lips!
