I realized I only blogged 6 times so far in November, which is outrageous! I’ve been behind in school and blogging! This post is way overdue, but never less, a (very delayed) beauty product review! I realized lately that my eyelashes are not as strong as before, so I’ve been trying Lush Eyes Right Mascara.
What they say:
When we asked women which mascara they used, we were rather startled when the overwhelming answer was “the one that hurts my eyes the least”. We knew we had to create healthy mascara, that’s actually good for your lashes and the skin around your eyes, so product inventor and LUSH co-founder Rowena got to work in her lab. She came up with this beautiful, gentle mascara using a fresh wheatgrass base which conditions, nourishes and strengthens the lashes. Japan and Carnauba waxes help the color set, thicken and hold on so it won’t smudge when you’re at the gym or in the rain.
Ingredients:
Fresh Wheatgrass Infusion (Triticum vulgare), Water (Aqua), Japan wax (Rhus succedanea), Stearic Acid, Talc, Triethanolamine, Camauba Wax, PVP, Cl77499, Methylparaben
Only one preservative is used in this so it’s healthy for the lashes! The mascara is also packed with wheatgrass that strengthens the lashes, and I must say, it’s actually working! I also really like the unique packaging of this rather than a typical tube. This packaging looks like it came straight from a science lab.
If you’re looking to amplify your eyes with long, luscious lashes with volume and length, then this mascara may not be what you’re looking for. However, if you want an all natural look using as less chemicals as possible, then this product may be begging to be in your collection!
The mascara holds a curl after you curl them, but it doesn’t curl your lashes itself. Also, there’s no voluminizing or super lengthening. But for an every day natural life to the eyes, Eyes Right Mascara nails it. When I remove it, I notice no lashes falling out! Also, it doesn’t clump and feel very gentle.
The formula is also very wet, rather than goopy; I find it easy to coat my lashes 2-3 times without clumping, but you have to wait a while for it to dry.
There are some cons to this mascara- I notice it smudging just a tiny bit when it’s raining. Also, the wand is too short so I have to lean close to the mirror to make sure I cover my lashes evenly. However, after several applications, I got used to the little wand. I read on other blogs that people use disposable mascara wands, but I am fine with this short wand now. It’s quite helpful in reaching the inner lashes without poking myself in the eyeball.
I definitely recommend Lush Eyes Right mascara for people who are sensitive to chemicals or would like something safer. I love this for strengthening my brittle lashes and looking natural.
Have you used this mascara before, or anything else from Lush cosmetics?
