To spice up my shoe collection, my cousin and I went to Charlotte Russe during our Bellis Fair trip. Charlotte Russe is similar to Forever 21, but C.R has a better collection of shoes. They had a deal- buy 1 get 1 for $10.50!

FYI- My girly-female shoe collection is miserable. I have mainly boots and converse shoes; and few comfortable flats. I have virtually 2 pairs of high heels. So I was excited to get some wedges, since I think I would wear them more often in the summer (rather than heels.)

The first pair I eyed was this 5.25″ peep toe wedges. The purple caught my attention, along with its stripe pattern combination.

They seemed dangerously high at first, but walking in them wasn’t too difficult! I love the color- wearing neutral colors + these ; all the attention would be on the wedges! I can’t wait for the sunny weather!

Since the second pair of wedges/heels were $10.50; I hunted for another pair. I found a more “everyday color” pair of wedges – a pair of criss cross white strapped wedges.

I love the multi braided detail on the straps; and they secure my feet in place! My left foot is slightly smaller than my size 6 right foot; so it is usually annoying to shop for shoes like these. Luckily, walking in them was great; even though they were 5 inches high! Perhaps I can get a maxi dress now to pair these wedges with!

The total for both pairs came to $50US after tax! For that price, it was a good deal; since they were both fairly comfortable to walk in and I can’t wait to delude people I’m 5″7; when in reality I’m 5″2! 😀

During my trip to Bellis Fair in Bellingham, Washington; my cousin and I had a small lunch meal to share at Ivar’s Seafood Bar located in the foodcourt. She heard that the clam chowder was really good, and luckily there was a combo – $11.99 for a three piece fish and chips + drink + clam chowder.

The fried fish was tasty and fresh, not sure what kind of fish it was- I think cod or sole? The fried were deliciously potato-y with the right amount of salt. The tartar sauce that came with it was delicious as well. We each share 1.5 pieces of fish and it was enough to satisfy us (since we pigged out on cinnamon centres at Cinnabon after.)

The clam chowder was chock full of flavour and clams! Not like Tim Hortons or what UBC serves with 5 clams and a bunch of potatoes and other cheap condiments. The clam chowder was hot, creamy, and very clammy! Warms you up on a hot day!

For all those living in Vancouver and driving down to Bellis Fair- be sure to give this a try! I realized that other malls- such as Richmond Centre, Pacific Centre,and Metrotown don’t have seafood bars in the food court! I wish they did! The only other delicious stand alone store I can think of is Pajo’s Fish n’ chips. We need more of these places!!

PS: USA’s fountain “coke” is Pepsi. 🙁
