Ever since the discovery of Lush bath bombs, I have been addicted! It’s super relaxing after a day of work to sit in something hot and fizzy. Plus, having a waterproof cell phone means I can Netflix and soak in a moisturizing bath and relax. For the Christmas season, Lush came out with a selection of fun holiday themed bath bombs that your skin will love and keep you entertained in the tub. When I went to Pacific Centre’s Lush to celebrate their opening, I got to take home a few Lush goodies to try.
Five Favourite Body Shop Products that I’m Using!
I’ve always been a bit uncomfortable wearing shorts and tees sometime, because my skin isn’t naturally extremely smooth and glossy. 🙁 Luckily, some recent body shop purchases has helped me achieve that, along with some other regular skincare products I use. With the constant sales they have at Body Shop and my 10% off membership card, I do like to come here once in a while to stock up on products. This isn’t a sponsored post or anything, just sharing what I use and love! 🙂

1) Shea Body Scrub

My favourite line of the body products is definitely the Shea butter line. I have tried their lotions and body butters (however I ran out at the moment, and will restock after I finish using my other lotions.) I got this on sale for $8CAD, and have been using it for couple weeks now. I got immediate results with this product as my skin felt smoother already! The scent of this product is very shea buttery. I like to exfoliate my skin in conjunction with the Body Shop Exfoliating Bath Gloves.
2) Exfoliating Bath Gloves

Thanks to storybookapothecary who had a post on some of her favourite products, one which included the eco bath gloves, I was on the hunt for something similar. I found a pair of exfoliating bath gloves at body shop for $5. I got the colour coral, but there’s other colours to chose from, such as green or blue. This works extremely well! I also use shower gel for more gentler exfoliation, but I also use the shea butter scrub with these gloves. These are very gentle and now a must in my shower routine.
3) Spa Wisdom Polynesia Monoi Miracle Oil

This is my third bottle in a year, and this product is amazing, because my mom approves. Usually she doesn’t like anything I buy, but she uses this faster than I do, which makes me weep because of the hefty price tag. This costs $20CAD. I usually buy it during the Buy 1 get 1 50% off sale or Buy 2 get 1 free. My last purchase of this costed $4.90, because I had a $15 instore gift credit, since I achieved 4 points on my Body Shop Membership Card (1 point =$25 purchase; and thanks to my mom, I got 4 points easily.)
I use a couple drops of this on my skin, and it’s amazing! It lets my skin have a glowy look. I also sometimes mix it with regular lotion so I can spread it more. It has the scent of Tahitian gardenia flowers with coconut oil. Because I have no idea what those flowers actually smell like, I’ll describe it as a tropical, exotic, incensy floral smell. I normally dislike florals, but I love the scent of this.
This product contains sweet almond oil, brazil nut oil, coconut oil, and sesame oil. It can be multi-tasked as a hair product. Sometimes I rub 1-2 drops on the ends of my hair to remove the frizz and decrease the appearance of split ends. A little goes a long way for this product- too much oil can look greasy. This can be great as a pre-shampoo treatment, according to Body Shop.
4) Aloe Calming Toner

I got this product when I had a groupon- $20 for $4o worth of Body Shop items. This retails for $12CAD. This toner has helped immensely in cleansing the skin and removing any extra impurities, cleanser, and makeup traces. I have never broken out with this product, since this product is geared for those with sensitive skin. It doesn’t have a fragrance either. The ingredients list for this is very short : Water, Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Pentylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Sorbitol, Glycerin. No alcohol to dry the skin! This toner is very gentle, and I recommend it for all skin types, since I have dry skin, not sensitive.
5) Tea Tree Oil

A must have! A must have! I have a more in-depth review about this fantastic product here. This product pretty much prevents any incoming breakouts, and heals anything that has broken out. I have been using this product for around 7 years now, and will not stop! If you don’t mind a strong minty lemony smell, this product should be sitting on your counter- it’s a pimp/zit/acne 911 emergency product. If I have a skincare survival kit- this is going in!
These five products are stuff that I will continue to use in the future, because I have achieved the results I want! If you have tried any of these products, let me know your opinion! Or comment on what your favourite products are! 🙂
Earth Day Haul: Sephora,Kiehl’s, Starbucks, Bath n Body Works, Candy + Lindt
Today is Earth Day! Happy Earth Day!
This was one of my best post-finals-shopping day ever! Got so many good deals today!
1) I made my first stop at Sephora, twenty minutes after the store opened, at Pacific Centre. I gave my empty cleanser and got my free Origins moisturizer.
This is the “A Perfect World Antioxidant Moisturizer with White Tea” – it is sold for $49USD when I checked online, and I got the full sized product in the tube. SUCH A GOOD DEAL!

Here’s a description from Sephora online:
“This product contains several powerful natural ingredients. Ferment of sugarcane acts like a mini-sparkplug to start skin’s ability to neutralize free radicals before they deface skin. Murumuru butter maximizes skin’s moisture barrier. Rose fruit oil hydrates. Centella Asiatica firms. Vitamin C brightens and helps even out skintone. And aromatic orange, bergamot, and spearmint fortify the feel-good factor. Keep your skin in A Perfect World™ 24/7.”
So happy about this little pick up! They ran out of it quickly, so I was glad I was able to wake up early and get to Sephora for this 😀
2) The next freebie stop I went was to Kiehl’s.
They also have a promotion that started on April 18th and it goes until April 30th. If you bring in any empty cosmetic jar, you get a Starter Kit in their environmentally friendly pouch. The sales there were very friendly and explained about the products they were giving me. Also, I said my T-Zone was oily, and she also gave me a sample of Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion.

The kit consisted of
- 1.0 fL oz/ 30mL Ultra Facial Cleanser
- 1.0 fL oz/ 30mL Ultra Facial Moisturizer
- 1.0 fL oz/30mL Original Rich Nourishing Cream
Very excited to try this out and this kit is very travel friendly 🙂
3) Me and my friend also wandered into Bath and Body Works and the sale associate gave us each a $5 coupon off any purchase (no minimum purchase necessary.)
I was going to be a troll and just buy a soap for $5.50, so I’ll get $5 off and just pay $0.50 + tax. However, Bath and Body Works shampoo/conditioner was on sale, and I love their hair products, except I never wanted to pay full price for them. I usually buy them during Boxing Day sales, and it’s been a while since I’ve used them. The sweet pea shampoo/conditioner was fabulous, as I recall.
Today, some of the hair products were $4 today! So I grabbed a Mango Mandarin Moisturizing Conditioner! I also got a Malibu Citrus gentle foaming hand soap.

I paid a total of $4.50+ tax on all this! What a steal!
4) I also went to Lush because I wanted something to exfoliate my skin or make it smoother. The sales associate put the Lush Lime Smoothie on my hand, and the smell is AMAZING. So was the aftermath of washing it off. My hand was instantly smoother Because there is lime in it, it “chemically peels” and cleanses your skin making it smooth and clean.

Ingredients:Fresh Butternut Squash Infusion (Cucurbita Moschata) , Glycerine , Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Olea europaea) , Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis) , Rapeseed Oil , Coconut Oil (Brassica napus; Cocos nucifera) , Fresh Organic Lime Juice (Citrus aurantifolia) , Sodium Lauryl Sulfate , Fresh Strawberries (Fragaria vesca) , Water (Aqua) , Grapefruit Oil (Citrus paradisi) , Orange Flower Absolute (Citrus Aurantium amara) , Sodium Chloride , Sodium Hydroxide , EDTA , Tetrasodium Editronate , *Limonene , Perfume , Methylparaben , Propylparaben
Can’t wait to try this tonight!
This is also a limited edition product, and they were selling it because it was LUSH’s anniversary party product.
5) Candy!
I went to London Drugs to find some candy, and my favourite gummies, Haribos, were on sale! Haribos are originated from Germany, and I swear their gummy bears are so much better than Maynards, or any other brand so far. 3 packs of gummies for $5!

I already started eating the cola gummies.
6) When my friend and I were at the Bay, Lindt chocolate bars were 25% off, and she got me a cranberry-dark chocolate bar since I had a stressful week. ^^

6) Lastly, FREE Starbucks tea! Bring in any traveller’s mug and they fill it up with either brewed coffee or tea. I don’t drink coffee, so I opted for their teas. I chose passion tea!
Passion is a blend of hibiscus, lemongrass, mango and passion fruit. It’s a red color and it tastes like sweet, fresh, juicy tea.

Needless to say, today was a very successful shopping day!

On the downside, I couldn’t find the Marc Jacobs mouse flats (refer to my previous post here). There were none left in my size 🙁 I want to order online, but I’m worried about its fitting. NOOOOOO it’s just not meant to be 🙁
What did you do on Earth Day?
