When I was in Japan, I was out to try and purchase as much Japanese beauty products as I could carry home. On my way back in the airport, I was spending the last of my yen on bottles of shampoo that was definitely too heavy for little me to lug around. And everyday, I miss my Japan vacation. So, when I received these Japanese made shampoo and conditioner from NatureLab Tokyo, you bet I put them to the test immediately! And how cute are the lab-like bottles that the Perfect Shine Shampoo and Conditioner came in! [Read more…]
New Generation of Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair 2020
Summer was over in a blink of an eye and for me, the past few months were probably peak-stressful in terms of life and career. Trying to find some work life balance is much harder than it was during this time. I’ve been stuffing myself with local getaways, spa treatments, some (minor) shopping indulgence, and treating my skin better! I have so much more time to play with my old products.
So when the latest Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair arrived at my door, I embraced the beautiful box it came in and excited for something new to try! I also snapped a picture and send it to my mom, as she is a number 1 fan of this product. [Read more…]
Beauty Sense – One Stop Canadian Shop for Spa-At-Home!
Anyone been massively online shopping since March and the rate of staying at home accelerated by 500%? I definitely got carried away with buying online anything for the last little while, and the way we have been doing things are shifting. I’ve been working from home since March, so I am going a bit home-loopey. I miss my fresh coffee during walks, but I’m grateful that I can be at home and can work remotely. The one thing I do miss most is definitely travelling. I miss new places, new food, and new culture. And spas, I had two spa dates lined up and then cancelled. In comes Beauty Sense, a Montreal based spa that offers spa quality products online. AND they’re Canadian! Treating myself with spa products is what I will be doing and the only thing that is preventing me from looking like a tired slug on the couch. [Read more…]
Lanolips Lip Water, Tinted Lip Balm, Lemonaid Scrubba-Balm
When I moved a few months ago, I was excited to declutter the messĀ I brought to my new home. Unfortunately places closed shortly after due to the global health crisis, so I have bags and bags of makeup lying around. Makeup is a tripping hazard around my bed. I also thought maybe I will be drinking more water at home now. Nope, I’ve been very good at staying dehydrated. But now I have time to try all the lip products I have at home and talk about them on here. Lano, an Australian beauty brand, has been on my radar for a long time due to its marketing for having some of the best lip balms – Lanolips. As a professional lip peeler (gross, I know) due to perpetual dry lips, I was ecstatic to try some of their highly rated products.
Catrice Cosmetics: First Impressions
I’ve been on this post for a while as one of my boxes of makeup got lost amongst moving from condo to home and luckily it was hiding in my friend’s car! Phew, glad I did NOT lose my Catrice Cosmetics products. These were sent to me for a review and I was excited to see this European brand in Canada now! Now that I have more time at home, I will be doing more makeup looks and keep this as a “first impressions” post – so prepare for lots of photos!
