A while back, I attended a lovely dinner at The Teahouse in Stanley Park and learned more about the brand, Dr. Hauschka. I’m the one who usually seeks out natural makeup, but I do appreciate it when it’s out there and especially when I get to sample some! The first time I tried was around Valentine’s day when I received their Lip Care Stick and a sample of the Volume Mascara. I thought I couldn’t get lazier in Spring but summer is here. I’ve been falling apart for a while and lost a bit of interest in makeup, but the Clarins Sunkissed Summer 2018 collection did wake me up again!! I need some inspiration and part of me almost want to start doing a points/lifestyle blog, but that’s just in the very, very wee back of my mind right now. So one of the challenges I find is finding a pair of affordable sunglasses, which I usually only get once every four years or so with my company benefits. One of the most things I was excited to purchase when I was in Japan were bath products. I LOVE soaking in a hot bath and it was so relaxing to sit in an onsen in Japan. I was looking for satches with a variety of flavours and when I visited Tokyu Hands in Shibuya, my shopping crazy level went up a notch when I saw shelves of bath products. Shoutout to my patient boyfriend for getting me a basket!
I’m back and just recovering from throat infection/ cough/ stuffy nose! Not sure if I got sick from not getting enough sleep when I came back, or I went outdoor swimming in Vancouver, or the stress of being a bridesmaid – but all is well! In the midst of a busy Asia trip in the city, my boyfriend and I wanted to experience the quieter countryside of Japan. We made an overnight stop at Magome, in Nakatsugawa. Getting to Magome was more confusing than we planned for but the beauty of the town is worth it if you have time for a getaway within the business of Japan. [Read more…]
