It’s cold, it’s rainy, and I work at least 40 hours a week. There’s not much to look forward to most of my time. Except, when an email about the Vancouver Beanstock Coffee Festival reached my inbox! My coffee addiction has grown over the past few years and it definitely have conquered my old tea addiction. The third Beanstock Coffee Festival is from November 2-3 on Granville Island and not only do you get to try some amazing coffee (my brother vouched this,) but also get some cute coffee mugs 😀 .
When I was at Dave Lackie’s Clarins Beauty dinner, I was looking at Jenn from A Beautiful Zen‘s lashes wondering what she was using to make it so fluttery and separated; it was some really awesome, natural looking lash extensions. Fast forward later, I found myself at Double Take Studio, at East 33rd and Main St in Vancouver for my first lash extension experience.
The first unboxing of the year is from Vancity Box; one of my goals/resolutions for this new year is to shop less so it’s nice to have a monthly curated box of Vancouver’s own brands in a box delivered to my doorstep. It’s like shopping for those $5 mystery bags that I used to get from Ardene, ahhh the good old days.
Hello to another unboxing this month! For those are unfamiliar with Vancity Box, it is a subscription service for residents of BC in Canada and each month the box contains local brands and artisan products. It’s like a monthly arts & craft fair in a box, where you find treats and accessories that can’t be found anywhere else. This month’s box is full of delicious treats to keep your insides and outside warm.
Being in Vancouver has its ups and downs, but nevertheless, I love this city and I still have MUCH more to explore here (I still haven’t hiked anywhere but the Grouse Grind #fail.) One thing that kind of prevents me from doing more Vancouver exploring is that getting around is slightly of a hassle…commuting here isn’t the best and I’m just a horrible driver. So having box of Vancouver coming to my house? YES- and here we have the Vancity Box.
