I feel like the urge to shop has slowly creeped up on me (I mean, double cash back on ebates leap year, yes I took advantage of that!) Another great shopping sale from Shopbop has started again. I will be going to a few shows for Toronto Fashion Week in a few weeks and of course I had to start making a wishlist of clothes and shoes. Shopbop once again is having their buy more, save more sale: 15% off for $250, 20% off for $500, 25% off for $1000.
Living in the city of constant rain, I am a fail in the department of looking fashionable and functional. The thought of “I want to feel confident in my clothes but I’m too lazy to try,” runs through my head pretty much all the time. The struggle seems to be more real whenever water is coming down to the sky and I’m fumbling between my umbrella and finding my compass card…while holding a coffee at the same time.
“One can never have enough socks,” said Dumbledore. “Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn’t get a single pair. People will insist on giving me books.” The right pair of socks can make a world of a difference, comfort wise. Some socks are meant for winter, some are meant for wearing with canvas shoes, and some socks are meant for the gym. Wolf Clothing Co., a Vancouver based brand, launched in November 2015, has goals to provide products for men to feel confident in and put together.
Working in a tech environment has always quelled my inner desire to be super girly or be out of my fashion comfort zone. I’m self conscious and have that struggle where I want to stand out fashionably, but want to blend in so I end up wearing hoodie/jeans or a sweater/jeans combo. However, I’ve been trying to make small tweaks in my outfit choice that still looks casual but has a touch of my personality. I wear sweaters pretty much for 3/4 of the year (hello cold Autumns, freezing Winters, and chilly Springs,) so my #ootds could look pretty boring but I figured a way to change the look with different layers over the same sweater.
As Valentines Day is slowly creeping up and if you want to shy away from the traditional gifts, a more practical AND chic gift idea would be a pair of Sudio earphones. Stylish, clean and sleek- how can one resist a beautiful piece of technology?!
Being a frequent commuter and having the privilege to listen to music during work, I am used to having earphones on me at all times. Not only are they good to keep me entertained, they’re also really useful when it comes to avoiding strangers. I’ve been using my Apple earphones for a long time (and I think most people can agree they are rubbish,) and so glad to have switched to the oh-so-pretty Sudio earbuds.
