The only sport I probably know best in the world is….guess…Quidditch! Jokes aside, Vancouver is pretty passionate with sports. When the Seattle Seahawks won the Superbowl in 2013, pretty much all of Vancouver was in a bit of a frenzy; we love our neighbours! Even if I don’t know a whole lot of football, I do get swayed by “mob mentality” when it comes to sports. I partnered with NFL Canada to create a game day outfit that supports the Seattle Seahawks. While I may not know when the next game is, I do love wearing comfy sport apparel with a bit of fashion integrated in it!
Having a decent sized bag that looks good from day to night is of utmost importance for me. There are times where I have a blog event after work, so I’d switch from a backpack to a more professional looking bag. I would be lying if I said it wasn’t a hassle to transport my items back and forth in between bags; that’s the #firstworldproblems downside of being a girl eh?! My bag is cluttered with hoarded napkins, receipts, and probably crumbs (I dropped a McDonalds mini chocolatini in it once *sigh.*) There are a few key items that are of utmost importance to me and I gotta check and double check and triple check before I GTFO of my house.
Warning: This outfit is no longer suitable to be worn in Vancouver. Thank you weather. 🙁
Let’s get real. I love fall fashion favourite because I don’t need to shave or feel like I need to slim down to wear arm and leg bearing shirts and shorts. Current things I’m obsessed with: pants that aren’t denim and booties. I like simplicity and I’m going to keep this post simple too (also because I’m half streaming Deadpool on Netflix.)
I think I’m finally at the age where I’m phasing out articles in my wardrobe that reflected my 20-something- year-old -student-phase. (I am keeping my Harry Potter t-shirts till I’m 100 years old though, that part is staying with me forever!!) Naturally, after purging a number of things, I have a slight excuse to add a few more things…but now my clothing picks are a bit more sophisticated than it used to be. I’m trying to build a budget office clothing pile, instead of running to Holt Renfrew for a new $100 blouse, there are quite a few pieces from Forever 21 that got my eye instead.
From time to time, my mom would judge my outfit and be like “hmm you’re missing a necklace” or “why aren’t you wearing any earrings.” Thanks mom, for calling me out to be unfashionable. Of course moms know best. Though I do like a nice statement piece, finding an affordable one without it looking too fake can be somewhat challenging. Holt Renfrew; would love to shop there but would love to save my money. When Happiness Boutique reached out to me about trying one of their products, I was sold by the name and I had a very hard time narrowing down my choices.
