Hong Kong definitely sells some exclusively unique clothes you won’t find in Vancouver. My cousin was hosting her wedding reception at Grand Hyatt hotel and I was planning to wear one of my old-put aside dresses, but I found this one in some small store at Causeway Bay. I normally try to look for dresses I’ll wear again, because the chances of me wearing a dress for fun in the first place is very minimal. I’m terrible at dressing formal and get uncomfortable easily if I’m not in my own element of style. This is why I quite liked this half sweater/dress!
These pictures were taken in my hotel room at L’Hotel.
In Hong Kong, many small clothing stores does not let you allow to try on clothes. So I did buy this dress without trying it on and just estimated whether it would fit or not. The material is a bit more elasticy around the arms than I preferred and it’s a tad bit big. My favourite part of the top is the shoulders – there’s a pvc shoulder patch with a chain attaching from one shoulder to the other.
The “dress’ part of the dress looks like a skirt, but it really is attached to the sweater. It has layers of poofy material. I also wore stockings with these cute bows all over it! I bought this pair on ebay last year for around $3!!
The heels are from Zara, which I got on sale for $30CAD a while ago. I like the nude colour with the burgundy heel since it was a bit unique. Comfort wise- they’re okay but it is better if I put in an insole in them!
I did mix a bit of patterns in this outfit, oops! What do you think?
