I get a LOT of comments of what I carry in my purse because I’d be digging in it for hours when my friends ask if someone has some particular thing. Usually, I do. It’s legit my safety net. If I’m lucky, I’ll even have an extra pair of socks or ziploc bag that day. The stuff I carry around ranges from what typical young adults would have (am I STILL A YOUNG ADULT?! T_T) to what a grandma would use. But hey, if I have a headache that isn’t going to stop me from whipping out my minty oils. More on that later. [Read more…]
Black Friday sales everywhere! I’ve been holding off my spending (just a lil bit) – you know why? I’m off to Wizarding World of Harry Potter next week and I feel like I gotta throw my muggle money on some new robes and an interactive wand.
Often I go to media/blog events in between work or after work, which doesn’t give me much time on change. If you see me on public transit en route to work, I’m 99% of the time in sneakers, jeans, and some form or hoodie or sweater (now that it’s fall.) However, when I DO have somewhere to go, I will be pulling hair out of my head the night before trying to decide what to wear. Do I sacrifice looks for warmth? Can I just wear sneakers with this dress and look stubby, instead of trying to trot in heels all day? After changing around my wardrobe for the colder season, I came up with some ways to layer with a dress but still stay warm.
Today is a grey kind of day. I failed my road test to get my full license for like – the most eye roll worthy thing- ever. No amount of middle fingers can speak for what I feel and I did cry for 30 minutes straight afterwards. We’re all human right?? I swear, only driving and Harry Potter brings out the emotions inside of me. Give me a calculus exam ANYDAY, I rather tackle that than drive for 30 minutes with some dude judging me. *insert more eye roll more eye roll more eye roll.*
Dude: “You can come on standby in one week to do your driving test.” ……………. “You’re aware that I have a job and I don’t have time to wait around for a chance to be able to do my driving test.” I wish I could be sassy like how Harry Potter was to Snape.
“Do you remember me telling you we are practicing non-verbal spells, Potter?”
“Yes,” said Harry stiffly.
“There’s no need to call me ‘sir,’ Professor.”
The words had escaped him before he knew what he was saying.
Ok end rant. You know what makes me feel better? Food. SHOPPING. Oh the shopping. I recently got a Ted Baker tote, but Shopbop is having a sale that ends Sept 29th!
Recently, I can’t live without dresses with pockets. I notice a HUGE advantage of having pockets over no pockets – can we agree on that?! They’re more efficient than the pockets of skinny jeans and I love putting my phone + lip balm + employee card + credit card in my pocket and going out for lunch. (Denim jackets with inner and exterior pockets are good too. Wearing that with a dress WITH pockets = best.) [Read more…]
