Sad fact, I do not have a Christmas tree. Every year I say I will get one, but space is premium these days when your living quarters is small and I rather save the money? So although I can’t put L’Occitane Holiday Ornament My Comforting Essentials on a tree or Almond Collection under a tree – I do have a little Christmas corner in my home and these products add some holiday cheer to it!
I purchased the ornament gift sets from L’Occitane in the past (the almond one featured here,) as I think they make great gifts for all ages. Plus, they tin is adorable and I like the packaging. Minimal effort required to repackage these as a present! This year I received the “My Comforting Essential” ornament ($14 CAD.) This one contains
- Ultra Rich Body Cream (20mL)
- Shea Dry Skin Hand Cream (10mL)
- Milk Extra-Gentle Soap (25g)
Of course, the little star shaped tin is a nice cherry on top! Everything smells so good, you can get a whiff of the shea even from sniffing the tin. I can see myself reusing the tin to house nic nacs such as earphones, coins, candy, etc! I also like how there’s no plastic wrapping on the packaging around it so I can just recycle it after. This is something I’ve been taking account now when it comes to packaging.
For something a bit more luxurious, the Almond Collection ($64 CAD) gift box will be appreciated by many. I actually purchased one for my mom last year because she only uses the Almond oil shower gel exclusively (and she got my brother on board.) My whole family is fancier than I! First – the Almond Collection comes in a stunning green box. You can gift as is or wrap it. Everything smells like delicious almonds already and I haven’t even opened the box yet to take photos.
Inside you will find
- Almond Shower Oil (250mL)
- Almond Delicious Hands Hand Cream (75ml)
- Almond Milk Concentrate (100ml)
- Almond Delicious Exfoliating Soap (50g)
- Almond Supple Skin Oil (15ml)
I am super excited to try the Almond Supple Skin Oil as my skin has been very dry due to being inside all day + forgetting to drink water while working at home. It’s so easy to just lose track of time when the work computer is 20 steps from your kitchen counter or bed. I would have totally saved it for travelling but at this rate, it looks like travelling won’t be attainable until late 2021 or even 2022.
The Almond Milk Concentrate is a body lotion and I love how it comes in a cute glass jar. The 50mL version is worth $19, so this alone is $38 which is more than half the price of the Almond Collection price! I am definitely going to save this container after using and put it on my vanity table (aka night stand!) And with the use of hand sanitizer everywhere, hand cream is probably a big hit for anyone this year. I am sure the Chinese-wine-type hand sanitizer in stores have been slowly destroying my skin cells since March.
I definitely feel like you get your dollars worth when purchasing The Almond Collection given the size of products and it’s retail value. Have you picked up any Holiday edition products?
L’Occitane products can be purchased online, in store, or at Sephora online and in store.
