I am pretty low key when it comes to jewelry but I love a good pair of fun earrings. Mostly, my style has been gravitating towards statement gold earrings. A splash of gold never hurts and to me and definitely jazzes up my plain work wardrobe and my endless supply of black and dark clothes. I used to be wary about wearing “bolder” earrings because of my glasses (it felt like too many things on my head? face?) but now that I’m comfortable with who I am; I’ll have whatever I want on my ears. Even if it’s golden fortune cookies.
Geometric shapes and the asymmetrical style are one of my go-to’s and especially hexagon earrings. This is my second pair of earrings with hexagons involved. Perhaps it is my favourite shape, I’m not sure, but they looks very cute and chic. I own a lot of black and navy clothes, and these gold earrings spruce it up a bit. Warning though, they are annoying when I find myself on the phone for over twenty minutes; I’ve taken off my earrings in a middle of a conference call!
Another pair of gold earrings I recently bought at a craft fair are these hand dyed silk earrings. The details caught my eye and these are very light. It looks striking in contrast with my long black hair and I’ve gotten many compliments on this pair. These gold earrings are super fun during Christmas parties as they dangle along. As the sun is coming out more now, I will start grabbing for these more as they do remind me of a blooming flower!
The Korean fashion trend of jewelry has influenced me growing up from endless dramas, and I thought this pair of ribbon/knot gold earrings are very whimsical and cute. I find this pair looks better on me with my hair up. These earrings are very office friendly or will suit an attire for the evening.
Though I love fashion jewelry, I think it will be fun to invest in some higher quality gold jewelry in the near future. Or perhaps for my wedding. What are your favourite earrings and where are they from?!
