Last fall, I went on a mini day trip to shop in the states and did a mini Ulta beauty haul. One of the brands I’ve always wanted to try was Colourpop as I’ve heard good things about their quality and affordability; and I like how they spelled ‘colour’ the Canadian way. 🙂 I also bought a lipstick along with the No Filter Concealer and Liquid Liner, but it mysteriously disappeared somewhere before I even had a chance to use it. 🙁 RIP $7 USD.
As someone who used to love spending loads of money on a good concealer, I wanted to try the Colourpop No Filter Concealer. If I recall, it was around $7 USD and it comes in a frosted glass tube with a white lid. Simple and minimal packaging. I also have the tarte shape tape concealer which I bought from Ulta earlier before this, and the Colourpop have replaced all my other concealers.
I got the shade Medium #22. It covers up my under eye dark shadows with no signs of creasing or flaking from day to night. The coverage is amazing for it price point. Looking at the Colourpop website, this product does contain silicones and plankton extract (for hydration) is low on the ingredients list. I’m sure the silicones helps aid in the flawless under eye coverage so I won’t complain. It’s $7USD!!
The Liquid Liner in colour “Numero Uno” also climbed on top of my favourite black liquid liner list.In fact, I told my boyfriend we need to do a states run to stock up on Trader Joe’s…and possibly more Colourpop Liquid Liner. For $8USD, this is better than any of the $25 liners I’ve purchased from Sephora. Funny story, I forgot this liner is in a white package, and at home I was freaking out that I lost it. Turns out, it was just underneath all my other stuff and in my mind, I was looking for a black pen.
Additionally, the eyeliner has a sharp foamy tip which really helps with better liner application. The pigment is great and my favourite bit – this guy doesn’t smudge or budge! I’ve worn it from AM to PM, I’ve worn it at Christmas parties, and I’ve taken a nap with it on. 120% will repurchase.

I was very impressed with the quality of Colourpop cosmetics and too bad it’s not sold in stores in Canada. No matter, the closest Ulta is less than two hours a drive away and I am looking forward to my next beauty haul in my neighbouring country. Also, it’s been a while since I’ve done a makeup review and I realized I miss it! There will be more in 2020!
