As much as I love familiar brands I’d find at Sephora or Shoppers Drug Mart; I get an ‘excitement’ feel that goes through me when I walk through the local craft fair here. A while back at the Interior Design Show, I picked up a few products from Beth and Olivia Handmade because they had these adorable rabbit shaped soaps that caught my eye. The logical part of me told myself – you don’t use solid soaps. I listened to that part, so instead – I got a bunch of other different things.
First and foremost favourite, hands down, best bath salt I’ve used: Pine & Eucalyptus Bath Salts ($28 CAD/ 500g.) When I took a whiff of this, I could not stop breathing it in. It is like breathing an ailment to cure headaches, sinus, brain pains and much more. At the price of $28, I was a bit hesitant but when I started using this at home – I wanted more!
Not only did the bath salts have a a scent that clears out my mind ASAP, but the bath itself feels very unique. I believe it is due to the menthol crystals; I would feel a cooling sensation while my body is submerged in very hot water. It is a really interesting feeling and I feel great stepping out of the tub later. 100% will purchase again, because I have been savouring these salts.

The Pine & Eucalyptus scent really got to me – I also purchased the Pine & Eucalyptus Skin Butter ($15 CAD/ 30g.) If you feel stuffy, this can be applied inside the nostrils to help breathing. It can also be rubbed on the throat for mild coughing or on the temples for headaches. No it probably won’t kill your cold/flu/germs but again, smelling this makes me feel energized! I carry this around with me now in my purse; it makes a great ‘pick me up’ especially when I’m at work. It is also very hydrating and I also dab a bit into the cracks of my skin.
The lip butters (4.5g) were $6 CAD each or 2 for $11 CAD. I liked tea, so why not pick up two: the Earl Grey and Peppermint Chamomile. Out of the two, I preferred Peppermint Chamomile for it’s tingly, minty flavour. The Earl Grey has a faint bergamot scent; so I’ve been using this under lipsticks as it is lighter. Peppermint Chamomile comes with me along my purse, Earl Grey is in my makeup cabinet!
When I was at the table; the creators mentioned the Hand Butter Stick ($10 CAD) was basically their superstar product. I purchased Calm Hand Butter as a gift, and since I spent over $50, I paid $2 for the Joy Hand Butter. It contains coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, beeswax, bergamot, neroli, vanilla, and chamomile essential oils. This kind of looks like a gluestick and will require twisting to get the product up.
The Hand Butter Stick smells amazing and makes the dry part of my hands feel instantly moisturized. Originally, I thought it would end up greasy but that is not the case at all! I vote for this if you are looking for a Christmas present for someone who loves bath and body products.
I am definitely going to be picking up more Beth and Olivia products at their next craft fair; the bath salts got me hooked in! Also, these beauty products are not the only local products featured in the photos; the succulent and planter is from Mind the Minimal and the flowers were from a flower arrangement class I did at The Wild Bunch!
