Not tired by skincare yet right? The latest Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Boost skincare line multi-corrects the skin by boosting it with radiance and to counteract skin that has been weathered out by stress, pollution, lack of sleep, etc. There’s nothing like going home and slapping on something nice on the face after feeling burnt out from a long day at work. I’ve been using these products for a few months now and even brought one of them with me on my Europe trip.
As every year passes by, my attention to using products to fight damage (ie free radicals)has been increasing due to my age and realizing my lack of exercise does not help me in anyway. Here I am featuring the Creme Prodigieuse Boost products to improve my skin health.
In my mind I always thought Nuxe focused more on body care products; as I love their oil and lip balm. Not once have I tried skincare and my opinion of them has certainly elevated. When I go on my Paris trip, I will definitely check to see if there’s some Nuxe products that are cheaper than Canada. The key ingredient amongst the Prodigieuse Boost line is an antioxidant complex using Jasmine and it probably helped in making the product smell extra wonderful.
Let’s talk about the pricier, but my favourite, of the four products, (and it’s not even that pricey,) Nuxe Creme Prodigeuse Boost Night Recovery Oil Balm ($52 CAD/50mL.) The Night Recovery Oil Balm comes in a cute pink jar and has a luxurious, silky texture with a hint of pink colouring. 93.2% of the ingredients are of natural origin.
It does contain denatured alcohol, parfum, and dimethicone, however my skin has shown no issues with them (though if your skin does, make sure you do a test!)
I 100% love how silky the cream is and don’t let the world ‘oil’ scared you, it does not feel oily whatsoever. It contains macadamia seed oil; perhaps because I enjoy munching on them, my skin cells does too. I wake up with great feeling skin the morning when I put it on at night. For the price point; it is comparable to many other moisturizers you’d find at your typical beauty store and I feel like other brands would put a pricier tag on it for how it feels and what it does.
The Creme Prodigieuse Boost Multi-Correction Eye Balm Gel ($38CAD/15mL) is targeted to smooth the eye contour and reduce puffiness. It has an antioxidant complex with Jasmine flower and plant caffiene and it smells wonderful. It does have dimethicone in its ingredient list, but it doesn’t bother me. With all the eye products I’ve tried, I can’t say eye products always work, but this product does make my under eye skin feel less dry and helps make my concealer blend in well.
Currently my daily routine consists of using the Creme Prodigeuse Boost Multi-Correction Gel Cream ($48CAD/40mL) in the morning. Yes, it does have a fragrant scent and the second ingredient is alcohol denat, but my skin has always felt fresh the whole day with it. I wore it daily when I was in Europe and I am still wearing it daily, even under sunscreen.
The squeeze tube bottle makes it super convenient to use and the gel texture packs a lot of hydration while feeling lightweight.
Lastly, the Creme Prodigeuse Boost Energising Priming Concentrate ($39CAD/100mL) is a transparent, gel like lotion that I use as a serum before putting on moisturizer. It has as combination of Jasmine combination of Jasmine flower extract antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin C. It’s plumping and it adds an extra ‘oomf’ to the skin when using. I don’t use it daily (because I have been mostly lazy) and a stand alone Nuxe moisturizer is pretty good on its own.
This skincare line has definitely given my skin a lasting impression. Although these four products were sent to me, I wish I had more luggage space to buy a lot of other Nuxe products and backups from Paris!
