I’ve been using Laneige skincare products since at least 2012 (per my amateur post with terrible photo quality back then) so I was super excited when I received some Laneige products in the mail! Their skincare products appealed to me back in school since I was a super Korean drama addict, so naturally, I wanted Korean products. I have been incorporating the Brightening Sparkling Water Foam Cleanser and the Bright Renew Emulsion in my skincare routine and I couldn’t be happier!
The Brightening Sparkling Water Foam Cleanser ($30) isn’t like other typical, ‘foamy, cleansers that I’d normally test out. It comes in an aerosol container, similar to a shaving cream, since the texture of the cleanser is a thicky, whip-like foam. I’m still trying to get the ration right as I squeeze a bit too much out sometimes. If I happen to have a beard, I’d definitely use this to shave instead because it has a relaxing fruity scent to it!
This cleanser contains sparkling water sourced from South of France. It also exfoliates by using AHAs from orange, lemon, bilberry, sugar cane and sugar maple.
Interestingly enough, this cleanser is applied to dry skin, then rinsed off with lukewarm water – just like how my boyfriend cleanses his shaving cream off his face too!
Although the cleanser does says it contains sparkling water, I didn’t notice/feel it – but I love how clean my skin feels after. My face feels soft and I’ve been relying on this for exfoliation rather than a scrub since it’s so much easier.

Of course, I’ve been pairing the cleanser with the Bright Renew Emulsion ($39). This is a very lightweight, milky moisturizer and my go-to in the mornings. It contains Melacrusher™ technology which helps reduce the appearance of dark spots and truffle yeast extract to even the skin tone. I never had a problem with skin tone, but saying my moisturizer has truffle yeast extract does sound fancy!
Overall, I am super happy in how this moisturizer has been maintaining my skin in looking healthy and hydrated.

One of my favourite things about Laneige is that they’ve maintained their quality of products over the years and still keep their prices reasonable, despite their surging popularity now in North America. I have purchased the trial kits from Sephora as I love to bring them with me while travelling as they are a super, trustworthy brand to me.
