I’ve noticed I’ve put a lot more time curating my skincare routine than makeup. Whether it’s an age thing, or just too tired to wake up in the morning to put on makeup and do my other morning things – I will never leave the house without some sort of toner + serum + moisturizer combination on. Many, many, MANY *insert some sort of time unit that is a long time ago* I received three of Dior Capture Youth serums and one of them is almost emptied now. đÂ
The most used of all and I only have about 10% left is the… Dior Capture Youth Glow Booster Age Delay Illuminating Serum ($120 CAD.)Â A bit of information about this little booster:
- contains Murunga Plum which is 100% more concentrated Vitamin C than oranges
- contains alpha hydroxy acid which aids in brightening the skin complexion and improving smoothness
- contains iris extract to super charge your skin’s antioxidant power
I’m not sure if the age-delay part is working (yet) but I can definitely feel a change of my skin’s texture after one use. I use it in the morning and night, and as inconvenient it may be, I even bring it on vacation. And now I am almost depleted of it!!
My skin loves this as much as I love saving money. I can feel my complexion evens out, my skin is smoother WITH it than just putting moisturizer on. 100% will repurchase again.

Dior Capture Youth Lift Sculptor Age Delay Lifting Serum ($120 CAD) is least used; generally I put it on my neck. The Lift Sculptor:
- contains polyphenols from green/white/rooibos teas
- contains Iris extract like the Glow Booster serum
- 92% of ingredients are naturally-derived
This serum helps with skin tightening and improving elasticity. For my age (late 20’s) I don’t really ‘feel’ the tightening effect and it doesn’t make my skin feel as smooth as the Glow Booster Age Delay Illuminating Serum. I will probably not purchase again, but will keep using and observe how my skin fares in next few years.
Lastly, the Dior Capture Youth Plump Filler Age Delay Plumping Serum ($120 CAD) is what I’m picking up more to stretch out the lifetime of the Glow Boosting Serum. This one focuses on more hydrating as it:
- contains hyaluronic acid derived from fermented wheat (- so is this the same as putting beer on my face?! – )
- contains iris extract like the other serums mentioned here
- 82% of ingredients are naturally-derived
I probably can guarantee there are less expensive options for a hydrating/plumping serum. I can’t say for sure my skin looks plumper, but it does bouncier with use. I haven’t used it as much as my Glow Booster serum, but I feel like the Plump Filler still cannot match to the Glow Booster.
Assuming all serums provide some sort of hydration and they’re all bringing age-delaying qualities – the Glow Booster Age Delay Illuminating Serum is a YES YES *FIST PUMP* YES purchase. I am a bit skeptical about the Lift Sculptor and Plump Filler, but hopefully in ten years time I look the same and will definitely get extra credit for the other Dior serums.
Apart from these three, I think I have another 3-4 serums on rotation *sweatdrop* – how many do you use?!
