It’s already 2019 and I still am going over my stash of holiday fun! I know it’s way past holidays blah blah blah and maybe I should focus on other makeup/skincare reviews. However, I received this box of Sephora collection goodies after my trip and the holidays. It took me a while to go through them and boy, was it super fun as everything had such nice and sparkly packaging. The last time I reviewed the Sephora Holiday Collection was in 2016 so it’s interesting to see how their products have evolved in the past couple years.
One of my favourites is the Sephora The Glowy Surprise Face & Lip Set (original price $17 CAD.) This mini set came with an adorable Blush Stick and Enlumineur Stick. It also contains a full size Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 13 Marvelous Mauve (which retails for $18 CAD already!!) Plus, all products are made in Italy. You can still get the Blush & Luminizer On the Go Stick on sale for $6 online! I will definitely be trying out the cream lip stain soon!
And if you only want lip products… there was also the Sephora Cream Lip Stain Collection – I cannot find this online now, but this is a set of 6 full sized Sephora Cream Lip Stains. And if you like things miniature, you can still get the Sephora Mini Cream Lip Stain Set on sale for $10 CAD!
It looks like the Sephora Glitter Pots was only a holiday only thing, as I can’t find it in their regular collection. These definitely became gifts as I am horrible with putting glitter on my lids, but an artist friend found a use for them! I remember Sephora having large sized face palettes before, but I like the small compact packaging of The Enchanting Glow Face Palette (original price $13 CAD) for the 2018 holiday collection.
If you are looking to organize your bag by separating notebooks, keys, pens etc – the Sephora Tinsel Time Clutch ($18 CAD, on sale for $13 CAD) is good not just for keeping your makeup in order! It is pretty sturdy with its thick plastic material and also great for keeping travel documents together when you’re on the road! And if you’re already on the plane, the Sephora Glitter & Chill Cooling Mask can go hand in hand to sooth and reduce eye puffiness!
I haven’t worn eye lashes for a while, and the only ones I’m usually exposed to are the ones from Ardell and Kiss for ~$10! The Lilly Lashes for Sephora Collection Lash Set has an original price $75 CAD, on sale for $50 CAD – is it worth the price tag?! It comes with a pair of false lashes in “3D Mink Miami” and 1 pair of “Natural Mink Diamonds,” as well as an applicator. I’m guessing if you could get like 20 uses out of a pair, it would be worth it?! Another lash option is the Sephora Collection Fringe Lash Set comes with a dramatic set of falsies and a lash glue, all in a pretty rose gold case. This one I might be saving to gift someone down the road.
Lastly – brushes and sponges! The Sephora Blend & Clean Sponge Set comes with three Sephora collection sponges and a mini Solid Brush Cleaner – a product that I’ve purchased a full size of before and used it to clean my brushes. It is really good in removing stains from brushes and lasts for quite a while! The Sephora Starlit Brush Set and Wish Upon a Star Mini Brush Set are also great for any traveller – the Starlit Brush Set includes a stand up travel pouch, whereas the Mini Brush Set says it all with the word ‘mini’ in its name.
