Christmas is over, but holiday deals and shopping is still endless out there! I find that holiday sets (especially when discounted) are the best ways to try new products as they’re often bundled up in smaller sizes. Recently, I got a holiday box from FarleyCo, a Canadian health and beauty company. They always introduce a variety of brands that you can’t find at your average Shoppers Drug Mart or Sephora.
EcoTools Start The Day Beautiful Kit ($18.99)
This kit includes five essential brushes (angled foundation brush, blurring brush, defined crease brush, angled liner brush, and full blush brush,) as well as a storage tray. EcoTools was my first makeup brush brand as I liked its pricing and aesthetic. This is a great present idea for someone who wants to look to get into makeup!
Real Techniques Pocket Expert Organizer ($14.99)
For someone who lives in a condo, space is a valuable necessity. Especially for someone who talks about makeup products, there’s very limited storage for ALL the stuff I own (I know #firstworldproblems.) Since I moved in, we’ve been focused on storage organization and when I received this Pocket Expert Organizer, I was like yes more ways to save space! It uses Miracle Cling Technology™ to attach to bathroom surfaces such as glass, mirrors, marble, flat shiny tiles, and laminate. Great gift for any makeup brush collector or someone who loves to minimize clutter! PS – also great for the fridge and put some pens etc in it!
Real Techniques Expert Mini Face Brush ($8.99)
Though small in size, the Mini Face Brush has a full size head to give a full face foundation look quickly. I, too, bring a brush or two when I go on vacation and always choose the smaller ones.
Flexitol Lip Balm ($5.49)
This is my second tube of Flexitol Lip Balm – and it’s instant gratification for those living in cold weather and the lips are constantly chapped by that chill factor. Also, when I had a cold sore, the Flexitol Lip Balm really helped in making my swollen, flaking lips a bit healthier and made it feel like my blister was healing faster.
7th Heaven Dead Sea Peel Off Mask ($1.99)
Been trying out so many different masks since high school, won’t be stopping anytime soon! This is a clay peel off mask that contains seaweed, dead sea minerals, and natural clay.
Splat Vibrant Hair Colour Kit ($14.99)
The packaging got crushed in my mail! Splat’s hair colour kits are vegan and cruelty free. It’s bleach free and can be expected to last up to 30 washes!
MesmorEyes #304 ($5.99)
This is my first time seeing the brand MesmorEyes; each lash strip is knotted and feathered by hand which is pretty neat! #304 is the ‘drama’ look as the lashes are quite dense. As someone who doesn’t wear lashes often, this will be a great gift for many people I have in mind (just got to decided to whom!)
I wish I can just bring this box to my cousins in Asia, it’s so hard to find brands with decent prices like this over there (though they have an amazing selection of Korean and Japanese products!) How have you guys been spending your post Christmas time!
