I used to be obsessed with flats until I realized it made my feet become a biohazard in terms of smells. I LOVE sneakers but not as efficient for summer. Recently, I’ve been wearing SOAK sandals and they’re the most convenient things ever – and my mom is planning to steal them from me when she goes on vacation. I wish I had these when I was in Disneyworld; they’re so comfortable and chic (sometimes how fashionable something is…is priority right?!)
First, I’d like to point out that SOAK sandals are recyclable, vegan, eco-friendly, and made in USA. They come in four different colour varieties – solid, metallic, color block and metallic color block. I received the chocolate/blush color block SOAK sandals. This is a pretty versatile sandal as the colour matches with pretty much most of my casual outfits. They’re also very lightweight and simple to throw into the travel bag – so don’t have to walk around the hotel with bare feet!
I have flat feet, so the arch and heel support is great; I’m not flat to the ground. Now when I go run out errands, I slip on these SOAK slide sandals without bothering to care if it compliments what I’m wearing. They’re such a great alternative to flip flops and have gotten a few compliments already. 🙂
As I was trying to photography my feet inthe SOAK sandals I realized what my other body-part-that-I’m-extremely-self-conscious-of-is: my feet! It’s like they came from they got tied up and was dented! I seriously did not look at my feet as often until now. ANYWAY – the point is; I like the style. Since there are no half sizes, I chose a size 6. My feet just fit the sandal perfectly length wise, but I would’ve liked a wee bit more room at the front for aesthetics? Not having a half size doesn’t make it any more uncomfortable, but I’d like the option if it was there.
The blush does make scuff marks more visible; so if you don’t like maintaining it, you can always get dark coloured sandals. You can see that my sandals have gotten a bit dirty (and I don’t expect anything less when wearing light coloured footwear.)
These sandals are pretty much my go to this summer and they came right on time. I haven’t purchased a pair of flip flops/sandals for years and I probably will SOAK it up as long as I can. Let’s see how many adventures it will go on with me. 🙂
