Omg, I finally got qualified for an Influenster Vox Box. It’s been a WHILE and I am happy and excited. I’m most familiar with Kat Von D eyeliners and I’ve heard REALLY good things about her lip products but never tried one. The Influenster VoxBox I received has the new Everlasting Lip Liner in the shade Lolita.
I’m not a lip liner person since I’m too lazy to go the extra step in making my lips look perfect (totally going to do this when I do my bridesmaid duties in Disney World.) Kat Von D Everlasting Lipliners ($22 CAD) claims to have a 24 hour and water resistant wear. Lolita is a beautiful dusty rose shade that (I think) would be flattering on all skin tones.
The lipliners are creamy, comfy and dries semi-matte. Seriously, when I put it on I was like “wow.” This stuff made my lips look GOOD. I actually prefer this over liquid lipstick formulas. It’s a twist up pencil which I prefer way more than liners where you need to whip out a sharpener. I have a bit of surface area to cover and I have a feeling I might blow through this liquid liner quite quickly.
I didn’t test the “24 hour ” wear cause I DON’T go to sleep with my makeup on (I wish companies can change this ’24 hour’ number.) I did find it transfer anyway on my glass cup….on the back of my hand (not kissing myself, just testing it’s strength!) It just doesn’t rub off in the “I’m here to make your lips look ugly” kind of transfer.
Also, if you have dry lips, exfoliate before wearing the liner. Otherwise your lips looks like wrinkled construction paper. A photo was not taken so your eyes won’t be scarred.
It’s probably not as transfer proof compared to some liquid lipsticks, but I much prefer a creamy lip pencil that doesn’t stay as long compared to a liquid lipstick. I personally prefer to have an easy time taking off my lip colour from time to time. I’m so in love with the shade Lolita though. There has been a lot of lipstick reviews on my page that have been sent, so I don’t want to be cheesy and boring by using the word “I LOVE THIS!” but, I love Lolita on me. It’s a perfect everyday colour and it’s going with me on my trip! (Thank you Influenster!)
