I don’t really accessorize. When I do want to dress up a bit, some of the pieces I wear are from Pandora; and I have quite a long wishlist now. Funnily enough; I love their rings, earrings, and necklaces a bit more than their charms. Pandora’s 2017 Spring Collection contains a mix of bright colours and pastels.
Pandora’s campaign, DO, is to inspire women to be true to their selves. I, for one, am a huge believer in doing what you believe in and believe that results do happen when you work hard. The other day, my friend and I were having a pretty deep discussion how women could still be disadvantaged in industries and I often get questions on what’s it like to be a female in tech, a female in engineering, etc.
Back in high school, some people had raised their eyebrows at wtf am I doing in engineering. I don’t think I mentioned this, but I also went to an all girl’s school, and even my brother was half convinced I was out mainly to find a boyfriend. Why is it so hard to get the message across that I want to challenge myself, and education, is one of the ways where I want to test my perseverance. When I started my blog, people thought I was wasting a lot of time on the internet and were surprised I could write.
Now, I’ve been on the blog for half a decade and have done things I would’ve never believed I could achieve. I’ve been an engineer-in-training for almost four years and have sat in meetings where I was the only female. Not going to lie, my grades were less than stellar AND I have failed one or two courses. Thankfully, life isn’t just based on whether you got a D or A in a $500 undergraduate course. Am I superduper content in life yet? No, but my mindset to do better has always been in motion. Ladies – do what you believe in, do you what you love, but do not let people bring you down!

I received one of the pieces from Pandora’s Spring 2017 collection, the Hearts of Pandora ring, with silver enamel and cubic zirconia crystals around the band. I’m especially in love with the hearts detail on exterior of the band. I’m impatiently waiting for the Pandora rings sale (usually buy 2 get the 3rd free) so I can stack some of the rings.
To be honest, I was a bit thrown off at how wide the band is because most of my jewelry is daintier, but in fact, I got many questions and compliments on this ring and I love how I can relate the ring back to my blog. Without putting in work on my social media; I wouldn’t be talking about a beautiful piece like this today. My next creative venture; possibly going back to my jewelry making stuff and start a separate Instagram account on it to get the word out!
You can purchase Pandora’s Spring Collection online or in stores.
As I mentioned before; I wanted to share some of my Spotify favourites. I’ve been listening to Promesses; this track integrates a snippet of Obama’s victory speech in 2012 and I kind of got pumped up hearing it. “I believe we can keep the promise of our founding, The idea that if you’re willing to work hard, It doesn’t matter who you are”
