Hello!!It’s been a bit since I’ve been online – these mini social media breaks are quite awesome (social media break = killing time on the playstation nowadays.) I got some really awesome mail in 2017 that I’ve been a bit lazy to share, but fear not, the reviews are coming!! Teeez Cosmetics has been on my radar for awhile now, since I’ve gotten one of the mascaras in a Topbox in 2014. I *don’t* think they were available (or easily accessible) in Canada- but now they’re sold exclusively at Hudson’s Bay online and in stores across Canada.
The Teeez Cosmetics box I got in the mail looks like something inspired by a fashion runway, I’d totally wear a skirt or a dress with a print like that! The packaging of the products were super cute. Teeez products got a distinct look; even if they blacked out the Teeez brand on the product I feel like I can just tell what brand it is.
I never tried a cream bronzer before, let alone a whipped one that I’d decorate a cupcake with and trick someone I dislike to eat it (jokes.) The Style Addict Highlighter ($32 CAD) in Smooth Copper comes in a cool, cubey container. It was a bit messy when I took out the plastic covering (as you can see it got on the rim,) but isn’t that such a pretty looking texture?! It looks very dark and possibly hard to make it look nice on my fair skintone, but when blended out, it’s very natural looking! I personally prefer to use my fingers, but it does get messy compared to your typical powder bronzer.
The Spectrum of Star Eyeshadow ($24 CAD) comes in a cute sphere container and the eyeshadow contains argan oil to keep your skin moisturized. I haven’t bought eyeshadows in a while since a) I rarely wear it and b) since I know I won’t finish I can’t justify any cost for it – but if I had an eyeshadow budget, this formula will definitely catch my attention. It’s smooth and the shade I received, Vanilla Sunbeam, looks really pretty on its own and brightens up my eyelid without looking over the top.
No pencil liner in the world can compete against liquid liner because it stays on the best for my hooded lids; but the Mysterious Crystal Eye Liner ($22 CAD) actually surprised me. Most of the eyeliners I try smudge on me, even if they claim to be waterproof – Teeez’s Mysterious Crystal Eye Liner held on pretty well. It smudged a bit on the eyelid but I didn’t get panda eye syndrome with it! It also comes with a sharpener which I always appreciate for pencil liner. There’s also a smudger too; as the liner takes 45 seconds to set which gives you time to get creative with it. I received the shade in Smokey Quartz, a gunmetal shade with some sparkle (due to pearl particles.) Also getting the swatch of my arm took forever when I was in the shower- had to use my oil makeup remover to really get it off my skin for good.
Hello here’s my awkward makeup face look hehe. It was quite hard to get the Style Addict Highlighter to show up in photos – there’s a huge difference in the colour when it’s blended out. Hopefully you can see that my cheeks look a bit sculpted here!
This press package was a good tease (couldn’t help but use that word at least once in this post!) to Teeez Cosmetics and I have some lipsticks that I can’t wait to test out…and I’ll show ya sometime soon on here.
You can purchase Teeez Cosmetics in Canada via Hudson’s Bay online and instores.
