Another year almost coming, another year going to be older. Oh gosh….
I used to love bracelets when I was a kid, then I was really into super fancy earrings (the bigger, the shinier, the more noise it made -THE BETTER!) Nowadays, I like rings; they’re dainty and subtle and most of the time I’m already wearing my Iron Ring (any other engineer readers!!?) A while ago, Labradorite Magic, a bohemian style brand, reached out to me for a feature. Out of all the products, the simplicity of the Nightfall Ring stood out to me most.
When I was still in school, I had a part time job at a store that mainly specialized in silver jewelry, but it also carried a lot of pieces with minerals and precious stones. I still remember one of my shifts when two ladies bought a bunch of labradorite bracelets, pendants, and rings; hence this stone has been stuck to my brain since. Labradorite is a feldspar gemstone; feldspare is a family of minerals that are classified by the presence of aluminum silicates with potassium, sodium, calcium and barium. Feldspars make up 60% of Earth’s crust. (Thank you Google/Wiki for the mini earth science lesson!)
All the pieces from Labradorite Magic are made in Bali and set in 925 Sterling Silver. Under the light, you can see reflections of greens, blues, and purples with bits of dark blue sparkles inside. It’s dainty and small, so that I can stack it along with my other rings. I got a size 5 which is still on the big side (hence I sandwich it with snuggier rings!) Since it is silver, it can tarnish so keep it in a dry place; I really need to clean my ring (along with my other jewelry.)
(So I just got a little foldable box with some LED lights and took my photos with it – what do you think of the quality and lighting? Leave me a shout if you would like to see the ‘behind the scenes’ photos and a review of my photo box!)
You can purchase pieces from Labradorite Magic online; shipping is $5.90USD.
