Whoops, accidentally took an unofficial week long break from the blog! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!
The holiday season is notorious for indulging; for me- I give myself plentiful of excuses for eating that box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates. I’ve been keeping my teeth as bacteria clean as possible from Arm & Hammer with the Truly Radiant Toothpaste and Spinbrush; keep scrolling to see how you can win a set too!
Here’s the truth: when I was a kid I was lucky to never have cavities and I hated brushing my teeth. I did it out of habit and practice, but I hated every step of brushing and swishing and whatever. I appreciate oral hygiene a lot more when I’m older, thanks to more promising toothpaste and electronic toothbrushes so most of the work is cut out for me (mostly….) I used to think buying toothpaste was a casual thing, BUT IT ISN’T! One time I bought a toothpaste to improve gum health cause I was scared of getting reclining gums, but the texture and formula of the toothpaste was awful and my brother and I kept arguing about it. The Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Clean & Fresh Toothpaste($3.99 CAD) uses four different cleaning agents to whiten and clean teeth and three freshening agents to provide long lasting minty breath. It also uses baking soda and silica to remove surface stains. Although I can’t see any visible difference in teeth whitening, I can say I am happy to leave my house in the morning with fresh breath! The Truly Radiant toothpaste also claims to strengthen tooth enamel; I can’t attest to that but hopefully my dentist gives me two thumbs up at my next checkup, then I can say for sure if this toothpaste maintained or improved my oral health!
I only use electronic toothbrushes now and only when I go on vacation, I use a regular toothbrush. For my upcoming trip, I’m definitely bringing the Arm & Hammer Spinbrush Truly Radiant Clean & Fresh Battery-Powered Brush ($11.99) with me; so much less hassle than the regular electrical toothbrushes! The Arm & Hammer Sprinbrush has a patented dual action head to remove 100% more plaque and special floss tip bristles to deep clean between the teeth (for those who don’t floss, YESS!!!!!!!!) It also has an angled design for getting into the hard to reach places (the places where cavities usually form!)
The Spinbrush is louder than my Phillips electrical brush, but it is at a fraction of the price. The cool bit is the colour-wear bristles; it will change colour to remind you to change your brush head, which should be typically done every three months. I’m lazy AF and always forget that (and this proceeds to my brother to call me disgusting when he sees my toothbrush head.) Also, this brush head is replaceable so you don’t have to buy a new toothbrush every time!
