I apologize for sort of being offline for a bit, got a bad cold with itchy eyes and sore throat!! My plan was to stay at home and catch up on blogging but instead I caught up on sleep; no regrets though! I’ve always been a lazy Christmas blogger and doing I’ve been doing this gift guide on and off and there’s only two weeks left until Christmas! At this rate, I probably don’t want any more makeup for Christmas (yes, I just typed that out…) because I think I have enough lipstick to brave through another hundred winters. Fear not though, there’s a lot of great gift options for those who appreciate beauty products that aren’t just colour cosmetics! (I ordered a NARS Audacious Lipstick for myself and I think that’ll be my last makeup piece for myself…of the year! 🙊 🙊 )
The Body Shop has a lot of options at many differnt price options and sizes – from stocking stuffers to luxury wrapped gifts. (I’ve been wanting to get the apple tin gift sets for myself one of these years but I have no clue what to do with the apple tin! I don’t even have a nice enough vanity table to put it on for decor!) I don’t think you can ever go wrong with their body butters and you can grab the Love Me Body Butter Trio for $15 CAD. For the latte and bath lover, the Vanilla Chai Foaming Bath ($14 CAD) smells like unicorns and Christmas.
The Burt’s Bees Face Essentials ($22.99 CAD) is a four piece set that any Burt’s Bees lover can appreciate. It contains a Coconut & Pear Moisturizing Lip Balm, Peach & Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub, Soap Bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream, and Facial Cleansing Towelettes with White Tea Extract. If you know someone who are strictly into their lip balms, there’s also the Beeswax Bounty set ($12.99 CAD) that contains the original lip balm, and also scented ones including Vanilla Bean, Mango, and Pomegranate.
Anyone suffering from bad nails? I’ve been painting my nails again and OMG my cuticles are dry cause of winter and my nails are brittle and flaky too. In between coloured nails, I’ve been trying to keep my nails filed niceley and used a clear top coat to add some fake shine – even the guy at the Apple store commented on my nails 😉 (I didn’t want to tell him the look of my nails were all LIES!) So for the manicure enthusiast, the Amopé Manicure Set ($89.99) contains the necessities to prep your nails for the holiday season. The set comes with an electronic nail care system with six nail care refills, Amopé Nail Oil, Amopé cosmetic bag, and a coupon booklet with $34 worth of savings.
If you noticed so far, lots of products I’ve mentioned are value sets – I love them and I’m sure everyone loves them! It’s not as common to find a value set for men, but Paula’s Choice came out with a PC4Men Travel Kit ($30 USD) that has five products that will get him to moisturize and protect his shave.
The set that I would hoard to myself is the Acure Aromatherapeutic Moroccan Argan Oil Gift Set ($24.99 USD.) In this box is another three individal boxes of three different scented argan oils: Rose, Coconut and Citrus Ginger. I love body oils and this multipurpose oil can be used on the skin, hair, cuticles, or basically any dry spot on the body. I’ve been mixing 2-3 drops in my body lotion and one drop in my hand lotion to maximize softness!
Every holiday eos has limited edition sets (remember the ones you can deocate with stickers last year?) and for 2016, we have a Limited Edition Organic Holiday 2-Pack ($7.49-$8.99 CAD) and a 3-pack ($10.99-$16.99).
eos balms (it’s so weird to start the sentence with a lower case, I was almost tempted to type another word before that,) are 100% natural, USDA-certified organic (95% organic,) enriched with Vitamin E and shea butter, and paraben/gluten/petrolatum-free. Their Holiday 2-Pack contains Winterberry and Vanilla Bean and the 3-Pack contains Wildberry, Passionfruit, and Limited Edition Visbily Soft Honey Apple. (Put honey and apple in one sentence and I go weak!)
Frankly, I can’t wait until the holidays are over…cause soon after I’ll be finding myself in Universal Studios!! I plan to budget my holiday spending to save for all the Harry Potter things I shall buy for myself, so I hoped this guide helped you a teeny weeny bit!
