I learned the hard way – watching a movie two nights in a row and having to work the next day, does a huge toll on my mind. Especially when it’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and you just want to nerd out. My mental energy and my skin was as dull as Vancouver at 4pm and I wish I was a Niffler so I can detect all the freakin’ gold right now. Though I am a Muggle, my Niffler senses are telling me that the Make Up For Ever Pro Light Fusion Highlighter is something I’d store in my human-Niffler-pouch any day.
The Pro Light Fusion Highlighter ($48 CAD) comes in two shades; Golden Pink for light to medium skin tones, and Golden for medium to dark skin tones. I have the shade Golden to go all sparkly eyed over today, but I seriously want Golden Pink in my stash now -because Make Up For Ever nailed it with this one. Even if my skintone is fair, I still like wearing Golden over a few of my current highlighters (maybe because of my dull yellow complexion lately.)
By the way, this is actually the highlighter of the Pro Sculpting Duo in shade Golden Beige; I liked the golden highlight then and I liked it now. The contour shade wasn’t for me so I’m glad they made an individual Golden shade instead. The formula is a gel to powder texture and it looks shimmery at first glance, but it’s super smooth with no giant chunks of glitter. It doesn’t stick into the pores of my cheeks like some highlighters (like Dior)- a major plus for me!!
The highlighter containssynthetic mica help generate luminosity when reflecting light and synthetic spherical powders for long lasting power. It adheres very well on my skin and I’ve worn it for 8 hours plus before washing it off.
Make Up For Ever’s Pro Fusion Highlighter in Golden gives a perfect touch of the “wet dewy natural” look. So far, I haven’t been disappointed with MUFE’s highlighters and I’ve been wearing this almost daily – just a quick sweep across my cheekbones and I’m out. In my latest Instagram photo, I also am wearing Golden on my cheekbones and I swear my cheekbones haven’t looked so good in an Instagram photo in a while.
(Bloody hell, I tried to embed my Instagram photo and everything shows up but the photo -_-. Here’s a link.)
