For the longest time, I avoided touching the Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer, the new highlighter of Dior Skyline collection for Fall. As my face has started to break out more now (and barely any when I was a teenager, ugh..skin karma,) I’ve been loading foundation here and there and my skin looks matte and flat. I finally whipped out this highlighter compact to add some sparkle to my life.
The Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer ($68CAD) is presented beautifully; you get a navy blue velvet pouch, a mini kabuki brush, and a silver quilted compact. The shade is “001” and it is one universal shade. It has a magnetic clasp and you hear a loud *click* when closing it. Sturdy design, pretty exterior.
I didn’t feel like the kabuki brush picked up an even amount of shimmer to apply it evenly across my cheeks; I had better luck with my usual Make Up For Ever 156 Large Flat Blush Brush or even using my fingers to dab and swipe on the cheekbones. In fact, the mini kabuki brush made the shimmers stuck in my pores. However, the brush isn’t a huge concern as I wouldn’t carry a brush out in my purse. I wouldn’t be able to keep it in my makeup bag without getting it dirty anyway.
*squeal* I never liked the word ‘NUDE’ as much as here. The embossed lettering on the product is really pretty (I want to know what font that is!) After a few uses, the letters have started to fade, but that’s to be expected. Nothing nude lasts forever.
It is shimmery but not glittery or chunky. I like keeping my highlighting simple and usually sweep this just on the top of my cheekbones and maybe by my eyebrows. Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer is a faint, champagne glow and I can definitely see it being super flattering on different skintones!
You can see how subtle the pale shimmer is on my skin below. 🙂 It may be for the fall season, but I would wear it for Winter, Spring, and Summer. (Also, looks like the sun is coming out again this week! I kind of wish it was chillier though so I can bring out my ankle boots. Fashion seems to direct my life’s wishes nowadays…)
Normally I would condemn on splurging such a sum on a highlighter, but if you don’t really have any….this would be it. Listen to that tiny voice in your head – treat yo’self. Use that mini kabuki brush for something else but that Dior Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer can go on your face every day.
