The first time I’ve used Caprina was when I was looking at London Drugs for a bath product and I purchased their Foaming Milk Bath and soaking in that is bliss. This brand is known for using goat’s milk in their products and this is probably the only time I’ll enjoy some goat nectar.
Mind you, I HATE the taste of goat. Absolutely cannot stand it. I can think of so many stories where I’ve had a bad encounter with products involving goat cheese. One of my most vivid memories to date is when I was a beauty event and there were some appies with French names, so I ate one and turned out it was stuffed with goat cheese. The series of steps I had to take to look normal while spitting in my napkin and downing a lot of soda…I would not relive that moment again. However, goat milk in products is SO lovely and so good for the skin! I was sent some products to try from Caprina and I couldn’t refuse sharing my love for their products!
The Caprina Fresh Goat’s Milk Body Lotion with Shea Butter is pretty lightweight for a product that contains shea butter. Most products with shea butter tends to be on the heavier side, but this has a light vanilla scent (I kept sniffing my arm but I really don’t know how to describe this calming fragrance!) and it’s great for summer! Goat’s Milk is 11th one the ingredient list (water and dimethicone are first and second ingredients respectively.) Not much else to say about the product other than it does a good job being what it is!
I was kind of appalled when I was having a conversation with my friend the other day. She’s anti shower gel and I’m anti soap. How can you not enjoy shower gel?! I never found soap practical because you have to a) put it somewhere b) it always slips out of my hand and makes an annoying *clunk* sound in the shower and c) I’m too lazy to rub it on me. Thanks Caprina, for encouraging me to use soap because it did leave my skin feeling clean and hydrated. I prefer the scent of the Fresh Goat’s Milk Soap original formula than the Fresh Goat’s Milk Soap with orchid oil; it was a bit too strange and overwhelming. These average for around $2CAD so much more cost effective than shower gel/wash though!
Overall, Caprina isn’t a brand that makes me go “OMG!!!” but for the price and the results; I have enjoyed it and will continue using this brand (seriously, the Foaming Milk Bath makes me wish I could be a kid again and have a floating rubber ducky.)
