I hate you I love you…that’s right, I’m talking about my full lips. Sometimes they’re tolerable, sometimes I am thankful, and sometimes I wish they were shaped nicer. The Pro Sculpting Lip is pretty handy for that.
A bit late on the review game for the Pro Sculpting Lip; new from Make Up For Ever a few months ago. I talked about the Pro Sculpting Face Palette last month and already had a great first impression of MUFE’s Pro Sculpting line.

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip ($32 CAD) is a dual ended lip product that adds shape and volume to the lips. There are four shades: Rosewood, Rust, Carmine Red, and Purple. The shade featured in the post is #11 Rust. Do not fear- rust is not literally the colour of rust, but it’s a burnt looking red-pink shade. One one end of the pen, we have a creamy colour and the other end is powder-to-cream highlighter.
The texture of the lipstick is creamy and turns into a satin-matte once on the lips. Rust is very pigmented and it lasted around 3-4 hours. Not transfer proof; I accidentally grazed my hand over my lips and saw it went on my hand. Nevertheless, it didn’t start looking faded until three hours and a bit for me.
I’m a huge fan of the round tip lipstick applicator and now I secretly think all lipsticks should have this shape. Not sure if it’s because of my natural lip shape, but I found that it is SO much easier to fill in my lips with a round lipstick opposed to the angled thingamabobs that is the norm. This was the easiest thing to roll around on my lips without messing up.
Though I’m not in the need for extra lip volume, the foamy shimmery side does a superb job in highlighting the cupid’s bow. Plus if I put a littttle bit on my bottom lip, it looks slightly fuller and not too matte. (For me though, I would’ve been really happy with a full sized lipstick in that design/colour!)
My one complaint is that the highlighter automatically turned pink after dabbing it on my lips so the tip has to be wiped off after using. #highmaintenance

I am very happy how Rust looked on me and it hid my dry flakes too! With a simple makeup look, MUFE’s Pro Sculpting Lip was the final cherry on top!

Most of the time my cupid’s bow is gone (for example, like my profile picture on the sidebar of my blog.) I often struggle when applying lipstick to outline the cupid’s bow perfectly and symmetrically. Using the Pro Sculpting Lip was a breeze for that. For $32, I wish the packaging was a little bit prettier, but the formula gets two thumbs up!
