Lately, I’ve been into denim shirts and fiction novels. How come I haven’t looked into these things sooner? I used to be an avid book reader, plowing through 50+ books a year; this year so far I’ve read three books and I’m going to challenge myself to read 10 by the end of 2016! Did I ever mention I used to write fanfiction (you’ll never find my pen name) – but I hope through reading and blogging I’ll be inspired to finish my stories that I created literally ten years ago.
This is the year of trying new things and learning new things. It includes shifting my wardrobe…like wearing denim on denim!
As always, I have a horrible tendency to leave new purchases in my closet and the item is burrowed into a little nook, resulting into wrinkles on the shirt. I know I have too many belongings and it’s time to start treasuring what I have and “KonMari” the things that made me happy before. I have lately dubbed shopping as a way to “invest in myself.” Look professional, tidy. Cool, but feminine. Trying to anyway! (But I’ll continue to cosplay on the side.)
Calling for simple accessories for this look; I love this chic, dainty silver and pink watch by Caravelle New York*. It has a floral accent on the watch face which fits perfectly for the spring and summer colours and weather! I feel like an adult, like when Ron Weasley gets a watch for his 17th birthday ( I know I’m not 17 anymore.) I haven’t worn a buckle closure type of watch for a while; the stainless steel wrist strap and the 50 handset crystals makes me feel more grown up and stylish.
