Happy Sunday! I was going to type that I never go to a manicure but I actually just purchased a Social Shopper coupon for one; I just can’t shape my dang nails! Nail polish is one of the ways to make my dull and wonky shaped nails look a bit more refined.
Not sure how exciting this post, because I’m not *good* at describing nail polish other than how badly I painted it. I’ve been painting my nails more and more recently, to make up for my boring chill outfits at work. This is my first time using Burberry nail polishes each so I thought I’ll showcase the most minimal nail art that I can muster.
Burberry nail polishes ($23 CAD) are housed in pretty, long glass rectangular bottles with a gunmetal cap, same as their lipsticks. Their nail polishes have a protective and long-lasting high gloss finish and has an accelerated and hardening time. The polishes also help strengthen and moisturize the nails; it contains anti-oxidant pro-vitamin B5 and myrrh extract.
Optic White is a perfect white shade and I almost could imagine me sitting in high school painting my nails with white out. (We weren’t allowed nail polish in high school! #privateschoollife) Black Cherry is a dark red colour shade that would be so pretty for autumn moods.
I was a bit skeptical because a nail polish that costs more than two bowls of ramen better be as amazing. Luckily the only disappointment I had was how badly I a painted my nails. I can’t say if my nails were significantly stronger; but I had used the MicroNail before hand and after I removed my polish, my nails were still buffed and shiny so it looked like the nail polish didn’t really damage my nails!
As I didn’t want to do a total dark red nail polish swatch, I decided to come up with what you see below. I used essence dotting tool to make the three dots and that’s the most fanciest thing you’ll ever see on here, nail wise. Two coats were enough for an opaque coat and no streakiness!
I am impressed with the formula and the overall easiness of Burberry nail polishes. White nails are also really fun! (Still I rather buy one lipstick than two nail polishes!!) I wish I done a better job to show how pretty they are on me, but A+ for effort at least?
