Costume making has officially begun but I promise to keep all the makeup and outfit deets alive on my blog!! I hope I’m not boring you with all these lipstick reviews!
You know it’s summer when there’s sales on all the spring clothing, when there is a long line up for Bella Gelateria, and when bright and attractive makeup collections are out! Every summer, Estee Lauder releases limited edition products for their Bronze Goddess collection. I’ve been eyeing on a few things (like the Summer Glow Multi-Palette.) One of their products for summer 2016 is their Lip and Cheek Summer Glow.
The Lip and Cheek Summer Glow ($38 CAD) is a 2 in 1 product. One side contains a lip gloss, the other side is a cream lipstick and/or blush that you can twist up. So technically you have THREE products in one. In total there are three shades to choose from: Peach Glow, Fuschia Lights, and Sunburst.
I received the shade Peach Glow to share with you; although the shade of this colour “Peach Glow,” there isn’t much peachiness to it. This is more of a coral glow or a pink glow? Or natural glow?! It is a coral- pink shade that has the juiciness of a peach though.

The shade is gorgeous when swatched…but the lipstick actually looks horrible on me. It looks pastel on my lips and I looked like a really badly painted Barbie. This is the first time where my swatch doesn’t translate as nicely to my lips.
Once I dabbed the colour off my lips though, and added the lip gloss on, the lip colour I achieved is much more desirable and ‘me.’ The gloss is sheer by itself and doesn’t add much to my natural lip colour. I used my finger to add some of the cream lipstick to my lips and then put the gloss over it. The lip gloss is not sticky, and gives a nice shine to my lips making them look supple and healthy. My mom, who loves Estee Lauder, would be a huge fan of this product.
The cream lip-blush works SO much better as a blush colour than a lip colour for me. It gives a a light, universally flattering pink glow and you need the slightest bit of colour to blend into your cheeks! AND, it lasted for around 9 hours! I detect a bit of an artificial vanilla fragrance from the cream, but it’s not overwhelming enough to bug me.
I’m pretty satisfied with the end result; as I’m wearing minimal makeup when wearing the Lip and Cheek Summer Glow. Peach Glow isn’t a “must have” colour, so I recommend playing around with it before shelling out that $38 CAD for it. Although this 3 in 1 product is more of a 2.5 in 1 product for me, this is the first time where I’ve enjoyed a blush that can be used on cheeks/lips. This makes it convenient to carry around and there’s not much effort needed in creating a fresh faced makeup look with it!
