Remember when I mentioned how I fell in love with Burberry Kisses Hydrating Lip Color in Sepia? A new shade has been added to my Burberry Kisses Collection; Nude Beige is the perfect compliment for a simple eye + face makeup.
Burberry Kisses Hydrating Lip Color ($36 CAD each) come in a chic, rectangular case albeit it is a bit bulky to fit in a small makeup bag. The lid is magnetic and when placing the lid close enough to the base, it’ll snap itself together. It also has the classic Burberry plaid pattern on the case.
“single kiss of colour gives understated luminosity, two or three kisses give intense depth and vibrancy”
The lipsticks are infused with Burberry’s signature blend of rosehip, tea and lavender. The formula is light and creamy; it’s a great hybrid of a lipstick and lip balm. I had a good experience with my previous Burberry Kisses and this one is no different. The colour is easily buildable and it is one of the most comfortable lip products that doesn’t dry out my lips. Unlike the Lip Mists, the Kisses lip colours don’t have any scent to it!
Nude Beige is a very light beige with the tiniest amount of pink to it. I was worried when I first applied it, but the colour blended in with my natural lip colour and I was surprised how wearable it was! The tricky thing is to watch out for any dry patches. I have a dry part on my lip that makes any lipstick (except for some glosses) look unattractive. The first swipe was a bit patchy. To maximize the use of Nude Beige, exfoliation is needed. Burberry Kisses is not transfer proof and I need to reapply it around the 1.5-2 hours or after eating/drinking. Thank goodness this is an effortless lipstick and I can whip it out and swipe it without a mirror.
This review is pretty much as the same as my last one, so sorry to bore you! Nude Beige surprised me as a not-a-scary nude shade and I am kinda liking my spring makeup look!
I deem Nude Beige to be a very suitable colour to wear in an office environment and would definitely be thrown into my “for the engineer’ category. The texture and quality of this lipstick is one of my favourite and I know it costs a pretty penny, but worth the investment if you’re looking for a luxury lip product.
