Since I watched Gossip Girls when it came out in ’07, I’ve been fascinated by the fashion worn by Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen. They have really the most gorgeous and extravagant dresses, and the Paola Gamero Fall 2016 collection takes me right back to those wardrobe lusts I have.
You may have noticed I have been increasing the frequency of fashion related posts on Macarons and Mischief. Fashion always scared me a bit because your outfits are your first impression; it could be the final decision of landing that job or it could be the start of a new romance. And because I find fashion intimidating, I’m going to be like Harry Potter who dares to call Voldemort by his name, I’m going to incorporate more fashion coverage on here!
One of my first steps was attending Toronto Fashion Week. Not only is this my first time attending TFW, it’s my first time doing ANYTHING fashion week related. One of the shows I attended was Paola Gamero. Paola Gamero designs’ are romantic and feminine, a combination of silk, lace, jewels and handmade embroidery in her dresses adds a regal yet delicate touch. The collection was filled with flowy gowns and floral patterns.
Many models were wearing pieces that would be fit for a debutante, this structured blazer with the embroidery stood out. As this is the Fall collection, I noticed the makeup was also very suited for the season; they had dewy skin, contoured cheekbones, and dark bold lips.

Thank you to Paola Gamero for a front row seat! PS. I learned that I needed to level up my skills in taking shots while people are walking.
