Would I volunteer to be a human frozen dessert- no. But do I want to smell like one, like a sorbet; heck yes! I don’t wear perfume when I go to work, I just rely on my natural human Whitney smell, thank you very much. If I wanted to smell better, I’d just use a lotion. (Avoid the minty ones.) Vichy Ideal Body Aqua Sorbet is a new release that will cool the temperature of your skin…and leave you smelling fantastic.
The Ideal Body Aqua Sorbet (Price: $22.50 for 200 mL and $29.95 for 400mL) is a paraben-free and hypoallergenic formula. It’s key ingredients are:
- Gingko Biloba to provide freshness and energy
- Aquabioryl + Hyaluronic acid + Carrageenan sugars + Fundamental oils for hydration
- LHA + Fundamental oils to smooth the skin tone
- Hyaluronic acid + LHA + Fundamental oils to firm and soften the skin
It also has Vichy mineralizing water which helps with rebalancing, strengthening and regenerating the skin. The Gingko Biloba and Hyaluronic acid will freshen and firm the skin for 24 hours.
My verdict- I’m not sure if it actually firmed my skin or not; and I generally apply lotion twice a day in less than a 24 hour period so I can’t say for sure I’m moisturized all day long. BUT- the smell is heavenly and reminds me of a bellini- fresh, cool and delicious. When I applied the lotion, my skin felt slightly cooler for around 10-20 seconds. For such a lightweight lotion, it left my skin really soft after a hot shower!
This is great for summer because I don’t like using thick body butters so I need an alternative that is just as moisturizing. The Aqua Sorbet also adds radiance to my skin; makes it look healthy – makes me excited to show off my arms during the summer! One of the drawbacks for me is the price – I usually don’t fork over more than $10 for a body lotion, but I really appreciate the things Vichy Ideal Body Aqua Sorbet does for my skin! If you are a body lotion connoisseur, this is a good pick for something a bit different in the market.
