Hello to another unboxing this month! For those are unfamiliar with Vancity Box, it is a subscription service for residents of BC in Canada and each month the box contains local brands and artisan products. It’s like a monthly arts & craft fair in a box, where you find treats and accessories that can’t be found anywhere else. This month’s box is full of delicious treats to keep your insides and outside warm.
Who doesn’t love an original Christmas card? My eyes were “awww” at the ‘Meowy Christmas” card done by Art Soul Creative Co. I’m torn between keeping this to myself or giving it to someone! For someone who has a huge sweet tooth, the next three goodies got my mouth watering. There was a cute red tin of chocolates from chocolaTas; the flavours were Tomato Raspberry Basil Ganache, Salted Caramel Rosemary, Traditional Caramel, and Milk Ganache & Peaches.
I LOVE handmade/artisan marshmallows but the pricing of them isn’t like those $2 marshmallows from Superstore. I have binged on those marshmallows from Chapters Indigo and my wallet felt sad…so I was more than thrilled to see another brand of artisan marshmallows, by Whipped Baked Goods & Confectionary, in the Vancity Box. Toasted Coconut was my favourite, hands down. To add on to my sugar high, there was a bag of Batch Sweet Kitchen Salted Caramel Pecan Popcorn. I brought it over to my friend’s house and it was devoured in ten minutes. And luckily, to wash down the sweetness, I had 8 packs of sample teas from Karla’s Specialteas.
Lastly, there was one winter accessory- a beanie from Loyal Coalition, a premium casual clothing line based in Vancouver and it’s run by two female entrepreneurs! I’ve been letting my Forever 21 hat sit in the corner as I’ve been wearing this grey beanie to work instead. My brother pointed out that the beanie fit my head pretty well, so I’m quite pleased since he rarely says anything nice about what I wear lol!
I’m super glad that Vancity Box puts up the total value of goods on their website instead of me calculating; this month’s box is worth $74.50. Everything was a hit in this box! Not only does it make a good present, but you can also separate the products individually and give them as stocking stuffers as well (I would totally do that, because, I am economical. *nod*) A monthly subscription is $49.95 (including shipping) and it can be ordered online at Vancity Box.
