Hello to day 2 of being 25! I guess I should start saving up on my finances and take care of my body more, yeah?? One place with affordable and great makeup selection is THE FACE SHOP. I recently received a few products to put together a look for the holidays; if you fear the smokey dark eyes or red lips, this is more of a fresh faced look which focuses on the eyes!
Before the new THE FACE SHOP opened in Richmond Centre, I used to linger in the old store (anyone who lives in Vancouver remember that one??) as I used to work in the mall and THE FACE SHOP was right beside it. I haven’t tried the makeup because I thought it was pricey, and I swear they dropped the prices now and everything is a lot more affordable- plus we have a lot of trust in Korean skincare right?!
As always, eye makeup starts first. I used the Single Shadow Glitter in DL003 and AKP. DL003 is a taupe shade with hints of gold and has a glittery finish; gorgeous when worn alone or blended with another colour. Then I followed up with Gelset smudgeproof auto liner in 02 Brown. It creased immediately in the inner corner of my eye (hooded eye problems) so next time I’ll use a primer for this one. The pigmentation is strong in this one, though. Lastly, I finished off with Freshian Volumizing Mascara. I really like this mascara; I was able to do a proper eyelash shot with this, WHICH IS RARE; I got length, volume, and curl with it.
On the cheeks I am wearing Single Blush in BR01 which is a very light peachy pink shade that is really the most natural shade I’ve seen, perfect for the office or something formal. On the lips I am wearing Ink Lipquid in BEo1 Talk Beige. It is a milky, peach colour; unfortunately my lips need something more pigmented as they are naturally pinkish-red. If your lips want a slight hint of warmth, this will work great!
As you can probably see, I kind of got the no makeup makeup look with these products; a natural #fotd just how Koreans do their look. The only part that fails is my super dry lips that catch onto any lip product I use, oops!
