I remember the first time Fresh Sugar Lip Balms came into Sephora, when there were only two colours and my first world problem was deciding when I should just dump $26CAD on one- and I had took that plunge, on multiple shades too (oh spendy, young Whitney…) Over time, I fell out of love with them but their holiday sets always caught my attention; so pretty and not a bad deal considering the cost of one of those! Although I am not a huge user, I know that these balms are the holy grail of many and there are some pretty sweet value sets you can find at Sephora this Christmas; the Nude Lip Lovers Mini Kissing Trio ($33 CAD) and the Sugar Lip Delight ($65CAD.)
The Fresh Nude Lip Lovers Mini Kissing Trio ($33) comes with three 2.2g/0,07oz (full size is 0.15oz) Sugar Lip Treatments- Honey, Rose, and Nude. If you buy them separately, it would be approximately $13 for one (since it’s $26 for double the size) so the value of the trio would be $39. The tin actually has a mirror on the cover inside, which is pretty handy for carrying your small balm and some additional things like hair ties, bus pass, some bandaids…it could be your mini emergency kit! If you like to keep your natural lip colour with a faint hint of colour, this trio would be for you. However if you like more of a bright party of for your lips, then the Sugar Lip Delight may have caught your interest!
The Sugar Lip Delight ($65) is pretty much any Sugar Lip Treatment fan’s dream in a little box. It comes with seven 2.2g/0,07oz Sugar Lip Treaments, one of them being the Sugar Advanced Therapy, which is $29CAD for a full sized product. The other shades are Fig, Ruby, Tulip, Rose, Nude, and the original lip treatment. The actual value of these balms would be $92.50; you would save $27.50 (which means you got enough dough for one more full sized lip treatment!) Out of all of them, my favourite shade is Tulip; it’s a very innocent pink shade that is very flattering when going for the dewy, fresh, no makeup makeup look!
I have previously shown pictures of me wearing the Nude shade here in my Summer Makeup Picks post and swatches/pictures/review of Rose, Honey, and Passion in my old roundup of Fresh lip balms. Tulip, Ruby, and Fig are the new strangers of lip balm into the family so I thought I’d swatch these beauties separately!

Overall, the colours in the Sugar Lip Delight set are just so darn pretty! The only makeup I’m wearing above is Amore Pacific Color Control Cushion Comapact, under eye concealer, and Fresh Lip Treatments. As I stated before, the reason why I fell out of love with them is that I just don’t find it that moisturizing enough to justify the cost; plus the mini ones are quite weak and easily breakable if you are too aggressive with your balms. When I take out my balm I just smush it all over the dryness in the most unladylike way, and having a broken luxurious balm just leaves me feeling a little bit heartbroken. ( I will be heartbroken over expensive makeup disasters over men anyday.) Though Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments aren’t the Harry Potter of lip balms for me, but for many it is and these value sets are great for the holidays! Buy one to share or just keep all the balms to yourself! You can find them online or in store at Sephora.
