The first sets of Christmas related posts are rolling in! I’ve read about Mary Kay on the blogosphere for a while and this is also my first time experiencing the brand! For Christmas, they came out with a few fun and colourful gift sets for the body product lover.
The three smaller sets are the Mary Kay Body Lotion & Lip Balm Gift Set ($18 each.) They come in three flavours: Apple & Pear, Berry & Cream, and Sugar & Spice. These areas scrumptious as their names; my personal faovurite is Apple & Pear; I’ve been keeping the lotion at work to moisturize my hands through the day. The lip balm keeps my lips not chappy and also makes a great base for lipsticks and glosses. Although the formulas of both products aren’t out of the world, it’s the delicious scents and fun packaging that makes them awesome stocking stuffers.
The Limited Edition Mary Kay Cream & Sugar Body Gift Set ($30) comes with a body scrub and a body whip. The scrub’s exfoliating bits are big and grainy so I can really feel it when I scrub it into my skin. The body whip is slightly thicker comparing to the body lotion from the above mentioned gift sets, but it’s not body butter level yet. These guys smell REALLY good- I love eating whip cream, I usually take the wooden sticks at Starbucks and just put globs of whip cream from my drink to my mouth and savour the sweetness. The Cream & Sugar body whip really reminds me of that!
All the Mary Kay’s festive packaging and Christmas gift options is making me look forward to December now (which is also when I’m hitting that mid 20 age mark!) I haven’t really done Christmas presents for EVERYONE now that I’m older, but I’m excited for my Secret Santa Exchanges with the Canadian Beauty Bloggers and my group of friends whom we dub the Sherlock Homies (we are cool.)
