I’m a devoted sheet mask user but my whole life I pretty much have only used sheet masks either from My Beauty Diary and innisfree and other brands I can’t read because they’re cheap when you go to Asia (though the Canadian dollar sucks now, C’MON CANADA I NEED TO SHOP!!) So yes, I was super curious to try some sheet masks that are a little more luxurious but not ridiculously pricey and that would be MaskerAide ($7 CAD from Trade Secrets!) I’ve seen them pop up on Topbox before but sadly I never received one. 🙁
I did a little digging on the MaskerAide website- the sheets are actually drenched in an Argan oil serum and then they add specially formulated ingredients to make each mask unique and catered to specific skincare problems. There are two types of serums used, either clear or cream. The two masks I tried are All Nighter and Detox Diva, which are both infused with clear serums. Not only are there heavily moisturizing ingredients in there, MaskerAide doesn’t have the bad stuff such as parabens, mineral oils, artificial fragrances, glycerins, dyes, pigments, and benzophenones (usually found in sunscreens).
Also, MaskerAide is a Canadian company and their masks are made in Korea!
The Detox Diva (Cleanse, Exfoliate, Detoxify) mask helps minimize pores, absorv impurities, and protect your skin from toxins! It also gently exfoliates (this was an interesting quality of a mask) by using Chinese plum, strawberry, and lemon fruit extracts to lift dead skin cells. With all the fruity ingredients, there was really refreshing zingy scent that I loved. After removing it, my face felt super soft and radiant. After a tiring day at work, I could use something like this EVERY DAY.
The All Nighter Mask (Awaken, Replenish, Refresh) are for the days when you go out during the day…and you have stuff to do at night and don’t want to look like a bum. Ingredients inside it include peppermint oil, aloe, Argan Oil, Heartleaf, Honey, Super Fruit, and Cactus Extract. My eyes are in a constant state of being half a marshmallow and this felt really cooling on my undereyes. I was slightly worried about the peppermint part but it made me feel really refreshed…and ready to blog after!

I know I wouldn’t personally be spending my money to use one daily or once a week, but having a stash of these to pamper myself just feels so good. We girls work so hard and deserve to treat our skin well! I like to pop one on and just sit in my bath and watch YouTube on my phone (yay for waterproof phone!) The mask keeps its moistness for a LONG time, so be sure to use the excess serum on the chest and neck! I personally use it on my legs haha. You can find MaskerAide sheet masks online at Trade Secrets.
