The foundation game is ON with the new Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation. I was so anticipating this, as I have the original MUFE HD Foundation (and oh gosh I’m not even half way done that,) and used this for a lot of my “important” pictures like my university graduation. So a foundation use for 4k technology? Show me the goods!! (Did I mention my phone takes 4k videos too- maybe I should start v-logging on my phone now!)
First off- I was heaving at the press package of the foundation- so gorgeous! I was already sold as I unboxed it. There is a total of 40 shades in the line, pretty much every skintone is covered! The Ultra HD Liquid Foundation ($50 CAD) claims to provide medium to buildable coverage and it has hyaluronic spheres to ensure the foundation sits on the skin comfortably.
This is the first foundation to be designed for 4k technology. 4k Technology is basically having a resolution of 4000 pixels. Basically- if this product lives to its claim, expect to look FLAWLESS digitally (and in human I hope.) The packaging of the new foundation is almost the same as the original HD foundation, except for the silver accent. I have in my possession three shades that match my skin colour as much as possible.
- R210: Pink Albastar
- Y325: Flesh
- Y255: Sand Beige

Look how liquid-y the formula is?? But it provides high coverage with two layers, though I feel comfortable with one layer on. You think R210 looks especially light, but somehow it blended right into my the skin on my arm! I think when winter is approaching, this will be more suited for it as I will look even more paler. I usually look either really pale or really yellow (thanks mom for pointing that out to me!) R210 does a better job of hiding the redness around my nose where Y325 and Y255 evens out my complexion.
I am wearing Y255 here; and my skin looks like a better version of itself! The only tidbit is that the dry patches around my nose (like so dry it looks like cracks in the desert) looks a bit like fluff when foundation is applied to it. So I apply foundation on my face, except my nose and since it matches my skin tone, nothing looks out of place!

Overall- I am head over heels with the MUFE Ultra HD Liquid foundation because it makes me look like I’m not really wearing foundation anyway! I do have to keep the super dry parts of my face under control or the foundation will pick it up easily. If you are on the fence, do pick up a sample from Sephora and test around on the drier parts of your face before deciding on your purchase. You can find the foundation in Sephora online or in stores.
Have you tried both formulas of the HD Foundation?
