If you work in a tech related field, chances are you may not wear a lot of makeup or none at all. So when products like the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Volumizer comes across my way, this automatically goes as my cheat makeup for work category. Last month I attended a Fall Beauty Preview of the upcoming products from Estee Lauder and I was pleased to receive one of these to play around with. And I’m smitten with it- I carry this in my bag every day!
The Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Volumizer is one of those glosses that changes the colours of your lips according to your pH- if you’ve read my blog a loooong time ago, I’ve already praised the Dior Lip Glow as well as the Dior Lip Maximizer– the Estee Lauder version is like a combination of both AND bit less expensive!
The Lip Volumizer is in a navy tube which kind of looks like the Estee Lauder Pure Envy lipsticks! The doe foot applicator is bright pink, not the gloss itself. The gloss is almost clear- there is the slightest tint of pink to it! The gloss adds a pink, fresh shine to my lips AND keeps them hydrated. There is a twinge of tingle- I generally like the tingling sensation so I wouldn’t have minded if there was more of that.
I have a lot of dry flakes and they seem to disappear after the gloss. The one problem is that after a few hours when the gloss is dried, those dry patches also turn pink, which looks fairly weird- exfoliate if you have dry lips!
Overall- the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Volumizer is pure love! This is my cheat makeup since it doesn’t add an espresso shot worthy of makeup on my face, but enough to make me look a bit refreshed! I honestly would love to slap some fuschia lipstick at work sometime though!!
