Dun dun dun….when’s the last time I posted a haul? Too long ago! I have done some REALLY good resistance to myself shopping wise, but I did take a dip last month after getting a new job (girl gotta reward yourself!) A Jo Malone perfume is something that’s been on my wishlist for a long time, and it’s time to stop smelling like a student wannabe and become an adult. I lingered at the Jo Malone counter for so long at Holt Renfrew but finally have settled on one…continue reading to see what I got! 😉
I wanted a light floral fragrance; I had enough citrusy scents at home and I wanted to gradually transition into subtle, flowery scents. I was debating a LONG time between White Jasmine Mint and French Lime Blossom…and eventually settled on French Lime Blossom. I have zero clue what Lime Blossom is and how they smell like in real life…but to me the scent is very refreshing when I first spray it. The scent is very clean, crisp with some hints of citrus. I love how it doesn’t give me a headache but refreshes my senses instead.
Early summer in Paris. Heady, powdery linden flowers are enlivened with a splash of bergamot and a touch of herbaceous tarragon. Blossom at its most beguiling.
Wood Sage & Sea Salt
My gosh, I love this scent and this MAY be my next Jo Malone splurge. At first spritz I thought it smelled a bit generic, but it is very refreshing and I can sniff out the sea saltiness. If I were to be by a beach, THIS is what I would want to smell like after taking a dip in the ocean. I don’t know what wood sage is but I like! I wish my laundry smells like this.
White Jasmine & Mint
If Jo Malone were to make teas I’d probably jump to try this as a tea. When I first tried it, I can smell mainly jasmine, then after a the mint creeps up to tone down the jasmine scent. This jasmine scent is pretty strong though, and I like the subtle floral scent of French Lime Blossom more.
Nectarine Blossom & Honey
This is a scent that I think men would appreciate because it doesn’t overpower their noses. It has a good balance of fruitiness and floral that doesn’t smell too young.
I’m not a perfume connoisseur so my description of these scents is as good as it gets I’m afraid! There’s such a wide variety of unique scents at Jo Malone, I think there’s probably one for everyone! I used to use perfume only once in a blue moon but now I’m trying to use it more often (at least I can sniff myself on the skytrain when it gets too stuffy and stinky- no jokes.) Do you have a perfume on your wish list- what is it?
