Chilling in a bathtub with some Netflix is something I secretly enjoy doing (not so secret anymore) and one of my favourite bath buddies has been Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt; since it’s so affordable! However I haven’t tried anything else from Dr. Teal’s until now- the Pure Epsom Salt Body Wash and Pure Epsom Salt Body Lotion, both containing eucalpytus and spearmint makes me feel like I finished my bath in a spa!
I have always believed in aromatherapy and when I used to have headaches, I make a eucalyptus + hot water solution and sniff it. And when I get a stomachache, I head straight to my tea stash and make some mint tea. I love shopping at places like Sage and Escents Aromatherapy, but it does make my wallet cringe a bit when I haul there. Which is why I love Dr. Teal’s products as they are effective and affordable!
Dr. Teal’s Pure Epsom Salt Body Wash ($6.99 CAD) with Eucalyptus & Spearmint is probably the best thing ever if you have a cold, feeling sore, feeling headachey…basically if you feel crappy this is a great (and not expensive) pick me up! It does smell very minty and herbal-y, so if that’s not your thing then stay away since the scent lasts for quite a bit. It contains Aloe Vera, Shea Butter, and Vitamin E to make your skin soft and the epsom salt will relieve those tense muscles. The body wash feels very rich and I love scrubbing my body with a loofah. This is almost GONE in my bathroom because my mom equally loves this as much as I do. After I step out of the shower, I just inhale my hands (weird I know) to make me feel super refreshed.
Dr. Teal’s Body Lotion also contains shea butter and Vitamin E and it is a thick, emollient lotion. It could get sticky though if it’s too hot (good thing it is nearing the end of summer) so I prefer using this in the morning. I had a major headache one time I used both body wash + body lotion and I seriously felt so much more relief after!
Overall– if you are any essential oil/aromatherapy product user, these products is a must in your shower routine! Speaking of which, I need to get some Epsom Salt soon because I’ve been getting a lot of knots in my neck and shoulders lately and soaking in a bath is something I look forward to after work nowadays! Speaking of which, I went for a massage today (guilty pleasures…) and my body hurts like I just rolled over a bed of gravel, definitely will be doing some relaxing tonight! (By the way, Canadians- have a great long weekend!)
